Activity Worker / Driver

  • Part time
  • £24,479 – £24,843 pro-rata
  • On site: Kirknewton
  • Closing 22nd October 2026

You will be part of a fun team providing support to your team and the Leadership team Sight Scotland veterans’ services. No two days are the same. The current duties of the role require a criminal records check or membership of the PVG scheme through Disclosure Scotland for the protection of adults and children and clean driving licence.

We are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys working with people and believes in creating services where everyone can participate, contribute and belong.

It would be great if you have -

  • A SVQ2 qualification in health, social care, community work, or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge of visual impairment, sensory loss, or veterans' services
  • Experience collaborating with volunteers, community groups, or external partners.
  • Experience developing activities with participants and frontline teams.
  • You don’t need to meet every single requirement to be a great candidate. Most people learn parts of the job once they’re in post, so if a role interests you and you believe you could grow into it, we’d love to hear from you.

We’re committed to fair, accessible recruitment. If you need any adjustments, like extra time, a different format, or other support, at any stage of the process, just let us know. Please contact People and Culture on 0131 378 2793 or via peopleandculture@sightscotland.org.uk who can arrange for any support you need.
