Life Centre Coordinator

We have an exciting vacancy for a for a community worker in our Stirling Baptist Church’s Life Centres Ministry team based in Murray Place, Stirling. The role involves coordinating the various activities taking place within the centre on a day-to-day basis with a particular emphasis on the busy Counselling Centre. In addition, the successful candidate will lead some of the activities, including organising and supporting volunteers. They will be supported and managed by the Life Centres Team Leader.

The successful candidate will:

  • Have experience of working within the field of community development, preferably in a mental health and wellbeing and/or counselling services context
  • Be able to deliver innovative and creative programmes that support the Vision of the Life Centre
  • Be able to handle enquiries and referrals in confidence and identify and refer to appropriate support.
  • Have a strong desire and willingness to demonstrate the love of God in providing care and practical support to individuals and families.
  • Have excellent interpersonal and networking skills.
  • Be able to support and coordinate a team of volunteers
  • Be able to live out the Vision and Values of Stirling Baptist Church and encourage others.
  • Work well in a team ministry context
  • Be self-motivated and flexible
  • Be able to prioritise workload and manage time effectively, able to work under own direction
