Who we are
FEL is changing our world for the better, project by project. We show people how to make everyday changes that help them, their communities, and the planet thrive. Our approach is grounded, practical, and built on local knowledge. We work collaboratively with communities and partners to create positive social and environmental impact.
Our aim is to make the environment meaningful by making it personal — helping people believe in the power of our projects and share in their success. At FEL Scotland, we help people, their communities, and the planet thrive. We believe powerful change is possible—and each of us has a role in making it happen. From bikes to local food to reuse to renewable energy, our projects show how everyday action adds up to big impacts.

The Role – what we are looking for
Working as part of the FEL team, you will support communities, stakeholders, and funders to take action on climate change and nature restoration. Your role will focus on delivering compelling communications and meaningful networking opportunities across the Forth Valley and National Park region, encouraging more people to live climate-friendly and healthier lives.
You’ll be responsible for FEL’s communications channels, including social media, website, newsletters, and membership engagement tools (such as our WhatsApp community). You will also work closely with external consultants and web developers to maintain and improve FEL’s online presence.
You will engage with the full FEL team to identify stories for media and manage contacts, write press releases, and arrange press visits as required.
This is a varied and creative role requiring excellent communication, coordination, and relationship-building skills. Occasional evening and weekend work will be required.
