This is a key role in our Whole Family Support Fund programme. We are recruiting Family Advisors for the following hub areas:

• Dumfries and Galloway

You’ll hold a personal caseload, providing information, advice and practical and emotional support to families raising neurodivergent children and young people. You’ll work directly with families; facilitate group sessions; and help families navigate education, health, and social care.

You will be an experienced practitioner with a background in advice, education, health, social care, community development or a related field. You will be an excellent communicator, able to build trusting relationships with families, children and young people, and to work effectively with schools, health services and local partners.

This post may occasionally require evening and/or weekend work and will involve frequent travel across your hub area.

This is a new role in our Whole Family Support Fund programme. You will plan, design and deliver peer support groups and social activities for families raising neurodivergent children and young people, across our hub areas in Scotland.

You’ll facilitate groups both online and in person, creating spaces where families can meet others in similar situations, share experiences, and build confidence. You’ll work with our locality teams to design an offer that reflects what families in each area have asked for, and you’ll be supported by volunteers in running sessions.

You will be an experienced group facilitator with a background in peer support, skilled at managing group dynamics and at creating accessible, neuroinclusive spaces that work for parents, carers and neurodivergent people.

Groups may run outside standard office hours, so this post may involve evening and occasional weekend work, along with travel across the delivery areas.

This is a new, specialist role in our Whole Family Support Fund programme. You will provide confidential, one-to-one money advice to parents and carers of neurodivergent children and young people, helping families to maximise their income and build lasting financial resilience.

The post has national coverage, and you will build the money advice offer from scratch. You’ll carry out benefit checks, support families through applications, reviews, and appeals, help people manage debt, and run money-themed workshops. You will work alongside our Family Advisors so that money advice forms part of each family’s wider support.

You will be an experienced money, benefits or welfare rights adviser, with strong knowledge of the UK and Scottish social security systems, and able to explain complex information clearly to families under pressure.

This post may occasionally require evening and/or weekend work and will involve travel across Scotland.

Neuroinclusion is rising up the agenda for employers, community organisations, and public sector bodies that want to get it right for their staff and the people they serve. This is a key role in our Business Development team, leading Mindroom’s training and consultancy service, with real scope to build on strong foundations and grow it.

You will design and deliver engaging training online and in person, and provide consultancy on neuroinclusion in the workplace and in designing services for customers and service users. The focus is practical change: what an organisation does differently as a result, rather than awareness raising alone. You will also develop the offer, write proposals, lead corporate engagement, use our CRM to manage the pipeline, and implement monitoring and evaluation so we can show the difference the service makes.

You will bring a strong understanding of neurodivergence, neurodevelopmental conditions, and the neurodiversity movement; substantial experience designing and delivering training; and experience developing or growing a service.

This is a management role in a growing department with a busy and varied workload, so you will be comfortable working independently and shaping the service as it grows.

The role is hybrid, combining home working, attendance at our Edinburgh office and travel to deliver training and consultancy in person. Occasional evening work and overnight stays may be required.

You will support parents and carers of neurodivergent children and young people by providing high-quality, person-centred information, advice and support. Parents and carers come to us about neurodevelopmental conditions, rights and responsibilities, pathways and services, communicating with professionals and their own wellbeing.

You will hold a personal caseload, working with parents and carers to identify their goals, build a plan to reach them, and develop the confidence and skills to speak up for their child independently. Your approach will be coaching-based, non-judgemental and trauma-informed at all times. Support is delivered mainly by phone, text and email, with in-person support and attendance at meetings where needed; you may also facilitate peer support and information sessions for groups.

You will be an experienced practitioner with a background in health, education, social care, coaching, advice, advocacy, or a related field. You will be an excellent communicator, able to build trusting relationships with parents and carers while holding clear boundaries, and to work effectively with professionals across health, education and social care.

This post may occasionally require evening and/or weekend work, and some travel across Edinburgh and the Lothians to support parents and carers in person. Therefore, the ability to travel independently is essential.

This is a key role in our Whole Family Support Fund programme. You’ll be the first person families, young people and professionals speak to when they contact Mindroom.

You’ll take their initial information, direct them to the right service for their needs, arrange appointments, and record every enquiry accurately in our database. You’ll also provide administrative support to the Direct Support Services team across the hubs, including scheduling, minute-taking and helping to produce and distribute resources.

You will be an experienced administrator with excellent communication skills, warmth and empathy, strong organisational skills and real attention to detail. You will be confident with databases and Microsoft Office, and comfortable handling confidential personal information. Some knowledge of neurodiversity is essential.

The post is home-based, with attendance at our Edinburgh office when required. Occasional evening work may be required.
