Are you ready to lead lasting change for children and families across Scotland?

For over 200 years, Right There has stood alongside people across Scotland, helping prevent homelessness and keeping families connected. We’re looking for a Head of Children & Families to build on that work and help us reach further.

You’ll lead our Children & Families work across Scotland, shaping its direction and sustainable growth to reach more children, young people and families. Reporting to our Director of Programmes and joining our Senior Management Team, you’ll lead the teams delivering our current programmes in Glasgow, South Ayrshire, Orkney and Inverness.

Your role

You’ll develop managers to lead with confidence and ensure children, young people and families help shape our programmes. Working with partners, you’ll strengthen quality, use evidence to improve outcomes and manage budgets and risk—turning our ambitions into effective, sustainable support during a period of significant growth.

What you will bring

You’re an experienced senior leader in Children & Families who has developed managers, led change and turned strategy into results. You combine practical judgement with sound financial and regulatory knowledge and you build trusted relationships with commissioners and partners. Your leadership is person-centred and non-judgemental: you recognise people’s strengths and make sure their voices influence your work.

Bring your leadership to Right There—and help more children and families build a safe and supportive future. We want to hear from you.

  • The ability to prioritise, keep accurate records and produce clear reports when required.
  • Confidence using Microsoft Office and digital systems.
