About You

We are particularly interested in candidates who bring:

• Fundraising and external affairs/communications
• Legal experience
• Lived and learned experience of asylum policy and support services
• Academia and research

We are looking for people who will contribute actively to our strategic direction, bring sound judgement and constructive challenge, and share our commitment to refugee rights and a fairer asylum system.

You do not need previous experience as a charity trustee. We value the contribution of different perspectives, experiences and networks, and particularly welcome applications from people whose voices and experiences are under-represented at Board level.

The successful candidate will assess individuals’ needs, goals and aspirations, supporting them to uphold their rights, address barriers, and access the services and opportunities they need to thrive.
