About the role
As a Change Mental Health practitioner, you will work directly with service users who require immediate or on going emotional, practical or vocational support in order to deliver the best possible outcomes. You will work with service users to develop and review personal plans, although ultimate oversight rests with the Senior Project Worker.
You will work closely with other members of staff to achieve outcomes as defined by your line manager. Within the area team there is a clear line management structure which supports and shapes your practice. You will aim to contribute to an environment where people can relax, re-establish social skills and enhance their quality of life.

About the role
The Advice and Support Officer is a specialist role, providing information, advice and support to people experiencing or impacted by mental illness via our Advice and Support Service. This will include providing support to those who are struggling with their mental health and money or housing needs, as well as supporting Change Mental Health staff, Professionals and members of the public looking for high-quality and reliable information around mental health support. This role will play a crucial part in representing Change Mental Health by being the first point of contact for those looking for support, whether that is over the telephone, email or virtually. In addition, you will be triaging enquiries as they come through to ensure we are providing a timely and efficient service and managing a case load and structured appointments. This role will work remotely and in the community to provide person-centered guidance, support and representation, as required.
The Advice and Support Officer role will assist clients through providing information, emotional support, specialist advice, advocacy and representation, including in-depth financial assessments, income maximisation, debt management and tribunal representation. They will adhere to rigorous guidelines and regulations ensuring that people receive the highest quality service possible and are committed to working to Type 1 to Type 3 SNSIAP and FCA standards.
The Advice and Support Officer will offer both more general Information, Advice and Guidance to people seeking information and support and will also provide in depth casework support as needed.
The Advice and Support Officer will work with a degree of autonomy and is a team player and play a role in developing and promoting the service. The role supports the Service Manager to meet national and funder criteria, contributing to analysis, reviews and consultations to gather evidence and highlight the issues that our client base face.

About the Role
As an Outreach Worker, you will be based in Lochaber supporting people affected by mental illness. Focusing on one-to-one support you will carry a case load to develop and review personal support plans to help achieve person centred and National Health and Wellbeing outcomes. You will support people in their homes, communities and in the registered Change Mental Health Resource Centre based in Fort William. You may also support group and other activities in the Resource Centre – although one to one support will be your main focus.
You will support the Locality, Service and Area Managers, in their strategic role to meet national and funder criteria and liaise with other statutory and third sector agencies to make appropriate signposting as needed and to raise awareness of Change Mental Health services. You will work closely with partners in the community to identify gaps in the service where they arise and implement solutions in partnership with your line manager.
You will work autonomously, being able to judge when to refer to your manager and take a lead role in developing the service. You will have a lead role in developing the service.

About the Project / Service

This new and exciting role will assist our duty service within the team through providing information, emotional support as well as triaging. The role will work closely with a duty advisor on a day-to-day basis. They will adhere to rigorous guidelines and regulations ensuring that people receive the highest quality service possible.
This role will play a crucial part in representing Change Mental Health by being the first point of contact for those looking for support, whether that is over the telephone, email or virtually.
The Money Navigator will be the first point of entry for self-referrals to the mental health and money advice (MHMA) service via our helpline. They will triage self-referrals and provide unregulated advice to people (i.e. provide them with financial capability and simple benefits advice). They will be supported by a duty advisor to refer people to the specialist mental health and money advice service for more complex advice, including regulated debt advice and signpost/refer to other forms of mental health support when the person’s mental health warrants additional support. The role will look to work closely with the service to help co-facilitate delivery of financial resilience workshops within community spaces across Scotland.
