Job Purpose

Govan HELP is recruiting a Community Connector to lead and coordinate place-based community development activity across Govan. The postholder will play a key role in strengthening collaboration between residents, community groups, public services and third sector partners, ensuring that local priorities are identified, supported and delivered in a coordinated and inclusive way.

The role will focus on developing and implementing a place-based action plan aligned with local priorities, particularly those linked to poverty reduction, family wellbeing, inclusion and community resilience.

The place-based approach focuses on improving outcomes for people by addressing the social, economic and environmental conditions in specific neighbourhoods. In Govan, this work complements wider child poverty and family wellbeing strategies, alongside community planning and partnership activity across Glasgow. Govan HELP acts as a trusted local organisation with deep roots in the community, well placed to convene partners, amplify community voices and support collective action that reflects lived experience.
