Health All Round

Charity registered in Scotland SC006065

Health All Round is a registered charity and voluntary sector agency which aims to support people living in Gorgie Dalry, Saughton, Stenhouse and surrounding areas of Edinburgh to live longer, healthier lives. Using a community development approach we provide services focusing on physical, social and emotional wellbeing and aim to build social capital and reduce inequalities within the city of Edinburgh. We are able to provide a wide range of services because we involve local people in all that we do – through volunteering, through consultation and by working together to meet the whole community’s needs.

Action for Pain, Peer Community Network - Project Worker

  • Part time
  • £32,333 pro-rata
  • On site: Edinburgh
  • Closing 23rd November 2026

Health All Round is dedicated to enhancing the health and wellbeing of people living in South West Edinburgh. Our Action for Pain programme supports individuals with chronic pain by helping them better understand their condition and explore practical, effective strategies to manage and improve their symptoms.

We are seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic Project Worker to develop and coordinate an inclusive Peer Community Network, bringing together people with shared experiences to connect, support one another and build stronger community relationships.

You will create opportunities for people to share experiences, reduce isolation, build confidence and use their lived experience, skills and knowledge to support themselves and others.

The role will involve recruiting and supporting volunteers and peer supporters, organising peer support sessions and creating safe, welcoming spaces that encourage connection and participation.

You will build relationships with local healthcare providers, community organisations and referral partners, helping individuals access appropriate support and resources.

You will also provide guidance and ongoing support to volunteers, encourage peer leadership, maintain accurate records and work closely with the wider HAR team to promote the value of peer support and strengthen community connections.

If you would like the application in an alternative format, require reasonable adjustments for the interview process, or wish to make an informal enquiry, please contact Kirsten Marwick on 0131 337 1376 or at kirsten@healthallround.org.uk.
