Due to internal changes driven by newly funded projects, we are looking for an ambitious and enthusiastic individual to deliver CVS Inverclyde’s (CVSI) Third Sector Interface (TSI) function. The postholder will be responsible for delivering organisational development and capacity building support to the voluntary, community and third sector in Inverclyde.
We are seeking someone with broad third sector experience who can provide advice and support across a range of specialist areas, ideally based on their own previous experience. The post holder will be responsible for leading advice and guidance to groups around a range of key topics including governance, organisational development, business planning, partnership development and community development as well as signposting to appropriate agencies and national intermediaries.
The postholder will support the broader work of CVS Inverclyde in developing a strong Third Sector, including delivery of training, workshops and policy development relevant to the speciality areas connected with this post.
Core Responsibilities
General Duties
CVS Inverclyde is the Third Sector Interface (TSI) for Inverclyde.
We are looking for an Engagement & Operations Lead to work alongside the Chief Executive and Project Management Teams. This is a unique opportunity to join and assist in the operational delivery CVS Inverclyde’s work.
As Engagement & Operations Lead, you will play a key role in our team, with responsibility for managing the Communications and Volunteering functions within the organisation, as well as being responsible for ensuring the smooth operations of the organisation on a day-to-day basis. Your role will be varied and include multi-departmental objectives including – marketing and communications, volunteering, finance and administration, training (sourcing, delivering and supporting the implementation of an online system) and the monitoring and evaluation of our work. Your role may also include supporting the delivery of our funding programmes.
The successful candidate will be used to managing a diverse workload with competing priorities. This is a hands-on role as part of a small but ambitious team. They would have a strong understanding of the voluntary sector and experience of networking between organisations and sectors. An understanding of financial and budgetary processes would be advantageous. The post holder will also be required to have a driving licence and/or access to a car and driver.

A solid understanding of financial and budgetary processes would be advantageous. It is likely that the post holder will have an established track record in a leadership role whilst maintaining a flexible approach to their work. We are looking for an ambitious and enthusiastic individual to support the delivery of CVS Inverclyde’s Community Enterprise Project (ICE) which is funded by the Scottish Government, Investing in Communities Fund. The aim of the project is to work with community organisations and residents to help regenerate and build capacity across areas of deprivation.
Reporting to the Project Manager the postholder will be responsible for developing and supporting both existing and new social enterprises across the locality. You will build and manage data of community groups, residents, and interest groups, co-creating and maintaining a geographical community map. You will bring experience of developing relationships with communities and individuals. Duties will include designing, planning and delivering engagement activities.
We are looking for an experienced, ambitious and enthusiastic individual to deliver CVSI Enterprise Project for Inverclyde’s Communities (EPIC) which is funded by the United Kingdom Shared Prosperity Fund. EPIC is an ambitious project that aims to develop and build the capacity of Inverclyde’s Social Enterprise Sector. The postholder will work across four deprived areas of Inverclyde. Offering a tailored and bespoke programme of intensive support and provide tools to develop and grow social enterprises through tendering for contracts and generating income from charitable sources.
Reporting to the Project Manager, you will be experienced in working with community organisations and possess relevant knowledge of developing and creating social enterprise structures. You will be able to build relationships with ease, bringing with you experience of working across multiple sectors and organisations. You will have an interest and understanding of key policies and the social enterprise national landscape
We are seeking a part-time (21-25 hours per week) experienced finance administrator to join our friendly team. The Senior Finance Administration Officer will take ownership of the processing and accurate recording of a wide range of financial transactions across the organisation ensuring high standards of service are achieved and maintained.
Our ideal candidate should be familiar with audits, invoices, and budget preparations. They should demonstrate an interest in accounting activities, including bank reconciliations, accounts payable and accounts receivable and should also have excellent organisational skills.
The role will include working in close collaboration with senior management team members and project managers. The Senior Finance Administration Officer will have a proactive, flexible, and ‘can-do’ attitude to work and will have proven work experience as a finance officer with solid knowledge and experience of financial and accounting procedures.

CVS Inverclyde (CVSI) is pleased to invite applicants for the post of Volunteer Coordinator. We are looking for an experienced coordinator to assume responsibility for running the community aspect of the Isolate and Support and Humanitarian Aid Service. This service provides provision and support to vulnerable people throughout Inverclyde. The post holder will coordinate all aspects of the service so must be highly organised with excellent communications skills. The successful candidate will also coordinate the team of volunteers who are supporting the Covid-19 vaccination clinics throughout Inverclyde.
This is a 6-month fixed-term post that would be ideally suited to applicants with a good understanding of the local area. Also, we would welcome the potential for a 6-month secondment from another Third Sector organisation as an opportunity for mutual professional learning and development.

Based within the local Third Sector Interface (TSI), the CLWs also build relationships and processes between the GP practice and community resources, statutory organisations, other health services and voluntary organisations.
Role
The Lead CLW Role has 2 elements: to provide leadership and day to day management and supervision support to a team of CLWs and to manage a caseload of clients within a dedicated GP practice(s) in Inverclyde. Additionally, the Lead CLW will utilise available data to raise awareness about the work the CLW team does and the impact it has on people across Inverclyde. This will require strong working relationships with partners from both the Third and public sectors and with communities throughout Inverclyde.
