Perth Riverside Church are looking to develop their work amongst families in the congregation and in the wider community, some of whom face significant challenges. They see benefit to engaging with both church and unchurched families together, being both pastoral and missional at the same time. This role will encourage supportive relationship bridging the gap between church and community with a particular focus on children and families.
Alongside having significant experience in children, youth and families work, you will also have the ability to develop, run and evaluate a programme for children, youth and families, with missional activities. You will have the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with individuals of all ages and able to engage with people who have little or no church connection.

We are looking for a Ministry Assistant who will concentrate on the first Mark of Mission to proclaim the Good News of the Kingdom, with the postholder largely focusing on Sunday work.
The successful candidate will have significant recent experience in leading worship and preaching with a good knowledge and understanding of congregational life of the Church of Scotland or be willing to learn. The candidate must be a committed Christian with an active Church connection (Genuine Occupational Requirement in terms of the Equality Act 2010) and have a relevant qualification in theology/pastoral care/counselling or similar, or significant, relevant and recent work experience in the area.

Main purpose of role:
Oversee the financial affairs of the Presbytery, ensuring compliance with good practice and statutory requirements, to fulfil the role of Presbytery Treasurer and to train local congregational treasurers and book keepers to fulfil all of their financial obligations.

We are seeking an MDS Parish Assistant to join our ministry team, providing worship and pastoral care alongside the Parish Minister, with an additional focus on pioneering new forms of worship or fresh expressions of Church in Cove, Charleston, Torry and Kincorth. We are looking for someone who will bring enthusiasm and energy to the role.
As a church community we want to continue to follow God’s leading to make disciples and we are looking to build on and develop these connections in order that those in the local area have the opportunity to find faith in Jesus Christ.
Taking an active leadership role, alongside the minister and congregation, we are now seeking someone with passion and experience in outreach to lead us in extending and developing our existing work, and creating fresh opportunities for making disciples.
You will bring a collaborative approach with experience of leading new initiatives and working positively with volunteers which will enable you to work with us in developing our connections in the community.
