Youth Counsellor (UpStream)- Glasgow

We are looking for a qualified counsellor, either accredited or working towards accreditation, to work within our existing counselling service, operational within Shettleston, Glasgow.

This role will have an emphasis on counselling young people to offer professional assistance aimed at improving mental health, wellbeing and personal development.

The post will involve primarily one-to-one therapeutic work with young people aged 10–25, from creative or play-based work with younger clients through to more adult-focused therapy with older young people, with openness to working with families where clinically appropriate.

Candidates will require experience of professional counselling, a demonstrable passion for working with people from a range of backgrounds and a personal drive to see young people thrive, flourish and overcome personal challenges.

The role is open to opportunities for flexible working in conversation with the UpStream Counselling & Families Manager, and is supported by external clinical supervision.

An exciting opportunity has opened up in the Crisis Intervention division. We are looking for a Care Van Coordinator to oversee and develop the lunchtime Care Van service in Glasgow.

We are looking for someone who has a real heart to serve the communities of Royston, Govan and Parkhead. Someone who has good organizational skills to manage a rota of volunteers to serve alongside in helping some of the most vulnerable people in those areas.

This is a part time role, 12 hours a week. Ideally, you will have knowledge and understanding of working with vulnerable groups and will be PVG checked. A full driving licence and preferably experience of driving a long wheel base transit van. Recovery and Resettlement Worker – Inverness

For the past nine years, Bethany Christian Trust have been delivering a community-based addiction recovery program in Scotland. As the demand for this service grows, we are looking for a candidate who will lead, develop and deliver Bethany’s Bridge to Freedom program within a group setting. A significant part of the role will also be to facilitate and develop recovery and resettlement work in partnership with churches and other organisations around Inverness.

It is essential that you have experience in facilitating, planning and working with vulnerable people in a community setting. A qualification in Social Work, Social Care, Community Education or related discipline is essential, or a willingness to work towards such a qualification.
