About the Role

ACOSVO is a small team with big aspirations and it is a very exciting time to join our team. As Finance and Governance Assistant you will be responsible for supporting the effective management of the organisations finances including banking, invoicing, reconciliation and supporting the preparation of annual accounts. You will be responsible for undertaking administration to support our governance including Board minutes as well as membership and HR administration. As Finance and Governance Assistant you will have finance administration experience, be highly organised an have experience of using finance software.

This is a permanent position, working 18 hours per week.

Additional benefits include 25 days annual leave plus 11 public holidays pro rata, pension scheme (employer contribution of up to 6%), and death in service at 1 x salary.

The working location for this role is hybrid working from home or our workspace at Greyfriars Charteris Centre, 138 – 140 Pleasance, Edinburgh, EH8 9RR. There will be a requirement to work at other locations in Scotland and these times will be arranged in advance.

We are happy to talk about flexible working such as location and when the hours are worked over Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday between our core hours of 8am and 6pm.

Please note that this role is not suitable as a job share.

Travel Requirements: Occasionally throughout Scotland, rarely UK travel

About the role

ACOSVO is a small team with big aspirations and it is a very exciting time to join our team. We are seeking a Communications & Events Administrator to support the Communications & Events team to deliver our events programme as well as communicate marketing and informational materials to our Members and relevant parties.

Customer services skills are required as you will often be the first point of contact for our Members and other stakeholders. Ideally you would have some experience working in a similar role but with ACOSVO’s focus on learning and development, this is the perfect role for someone who is well organised, has an eye for detail, and has strong communication skills.

ACOSVO encourages staff to maintain a healthy work-life balance and as such we are happy to talk about flexible working such as location and when the hours are worked within our core hours of 8am-6pm Monday to Friday. Ideally we would like the post-holder to work Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, however we will consider other options.

The working location for this role is hybrid working from home or our workspace at Greyfriars Charteris Centre at Pleasance Edinburgh. There may be occasions when you will work at other locations within Edinburgh and across Scotland (these times will be arranged in advance).

Please note that this role is not suitable for less than 21 hours or as a job share.
