We are looking for a Community Activity Organiser for the Fife area. You will establish a range of community activities and opportunities across the locality that fill identified gaps and meet the needs of people living with dementia and their families/carers.
The successful applicant will have a positive approach to dementia. You will be flexible, inclusive, creative, and organised in your approach. You will be sensitive and compassionate with the ability to support people in times of difficulty or distress. You will be an excellent communicator who can work effectively both with individuals and with groups. You will have a positive approach to your own continued professional development and a willingness to participate in relevant training. A relevant qualification and previous experience of working with people with dementia would be an advantage.

What you’ll do
The roles are transactional roles working as a team supporting a range of finance tasks including purchase ledger, sales ledger, bank processing alongside customer service and supporting donors across a variety of methods including phone and face to face, therefore, strong customer service skills alongside finance administration experience are essential.
What you’ll have
We are seeking applications from individuals with demonstrable high volume finance administration work experience within a complex organisation and who possess the skills to take on the tasks outlined in the job description.
You will be a strong communicator both verbally and written and able to balance competing priorities and deadlines.
You will have practical experience of working with a wide range of office systems including Microsoft 365 and databases or financial systems.

We are looking for a confident, innovative and collaborative Community Connections Co-ordinator for Dumfries and Galloway area. You will be responsible for developing, delivering and evaluating a range of activity and support groups for people living with dementia. This includes drop-in sessions, therapeutic group activities, carer support, Dementia Café style provision and brain health and prevention initiatives.
Delivery will follow a community hub model, with a regular presence in identified local venues or Alzheimer Scotland premises within the Dumfries and Galloway area, typically operating for a half or full day per week in each defined location. Extensive travel may be required across the region based on outreach locations.
The role also involves supporting a small team of volunteers who contribute to the delivery of services. Providing guidance, encouragement, and informal supervision. Fostering a positive team culture and ensuring volunteers feel confident and valued in their roles.

Location:This post will be home based, although will involve extensive daily travel across Dumfries and Galloway for delivery / facilitation of community groups in outreach locations.
