Our home in Fort William is a Hybrid Model, we have a residential service for children and young people as well as a service we call Sustain Plus, which supports whole families by providing both emotional and practical support. We work with families and parents to secure a nurturing environment for children up to 18 years old. We also help parents/caregivers develop their ability to care for their children, provide practical parenting skills, and engage with their community. Our service provides flexible support of varying intensity and aims to encourage the development of family routines, resilience, and improved parental confidence.
We are looking to appoint a House Manager who will join our strong and thriving Residential/Sustain Plus community in Aberlour.

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual with a passion for supporting vulnerable children and whole families to achieve the best possible outcomes in their lives. The successful candidate will have the drive, determination and cultural values to be able to lead their team to empower the children and young people to make the changes which will ultimately transform their lives.
We want someone who believes that all children and families are deserving of love and someone who will support the team to ensure that our children and families are able to live fulfilling lives.
You should have experience of working in and leading practice, preferably in a children’s house and with families. You must be visible to the team and children which will include working some evenings and weekends.
Ideally you will have knowledge about developmental trauma, how this impacts children’s early life experiences.
A comprehensive support package focussed on achieving excellence in practice is provided to all of our teams and the successful candidate will also receive clinical supervision, provided externally to support their professional practice development and well-being.

You will play a key role in leading and delivering the best care and support for children. As an experienced leader you will work with key strategic partners in Moray and Highlands to design and deliver services and models of care that offer the required support for children, young people and families.
You will oversee the leadership and management of our established services including our registered disability residential and respite service, our community youth support service both located in Elgin and our service for unaccompanied asylum-seeking children based in Inverness. You will also work with commissioners to identify future needs and growth opportunities.
You will have demonstrable management level experience in social care within the public, private or voluntary sector. You will thrive on building positive relationships with commissioners, local government, NHS, other third sector partners and trusts to identify opportunities for growth and additional funding. You will also be driven to influence local and national strategy, policy and practice to the benefit of vulnerable people.
You will hold a relevant professional qualification at SCQF level 9 or above plus a management qualification at SCQF level 8 or above.

At Aberlour we listen to understand what our young people want and need within our local area. Our Options Fife Housing Support service in Glenrothes supports young people with learning disabilities and/or autism to live and thrive within the local community.
This service will be home to 4 young people aged 16 plus who will all have their own individual flat. Our rota has been drafted to suit the needs of the young people.
What we are looking for....
We are looking for full time (37.5 hours) Young People’s Worker to join our team. Shifts can be up to 12.5 hours long. You will play a fundamental role in our young people’s lives to ensure that they get the best possible experience whilst working towards goals in their care plan. Using a person-centred approach, you will provide enabling support ensuring the highest level of physical and emotional care, supporting our young people in their daily living and within the local community.
If you have an interest in working with young people, we would like to hear from you. Ideally, candidates will have social care experience, understanding of autism, complex needs and disability. You will hold, or be willing to work towards, a relevant professional qualification at SCQF level 7 or above (for example: SVQ3 Care plus an HNC) together with relevant experience of working with children or young people. You must also be able to demonstrate awareness of the key elements of working with people affected by disability as well as an understanding of, and commitment to, young people’s rights.

About Aberlour Options Fife Residential Glenrothes
At Aberlour we listen to understand what our young people want and need within our local area. As such, our service in Glenrothes supports young people with learning disabilities and/or autism to live and thrive within the local community.
What we are looking for....
As a Young People’s Worker, you will play a fundamental role in our young people’s lives to ensure that they get the best possible experience whilst working towards goals in their care plan. Using a person-centred approach, you will provide enabling support ensuring the highest level of physical and emotional care; supporting our young people in their daily living and within the local community.
If you have an interest in working with young people, we would like to hear from you. We are looking for 3 Young People’s Workers to work part time (15 hours per week).
These hours will be worked as part of a 24/7 residential rota, which will include mornings, evenings, nights, weekends and public holidays. You will also be expected to do sleepovers.
Ideally, candidates will have social care experience, an understanding of autism, complex needs and disability. You will hold, or be willing to work towards, a relevant professional qualification at SCQF level 7 or above (for example: SVQ 3 Social Services (Children and Young People) plus an HNC) together with relevant experience of working with children or young people. You must also be able to demonstrate awareness of the key elements of working with people affected by disability as well as an understanding of, and commitment to, young people’s rights.
