Promoting the well-being of people living with dementia in Fife by: Offering local Dementia Friendly Meeting Centre Spaces (DFMCS), led by people living with a diagnosis of dementia and their families and friends, supported by workers and volunteers; Developing training for people with a diagnosis of dementia, created and delivered by people living a Good Life with Dementia; Influencing local and national policy and strategy, and getting involved in research projects; Involvement in other projects including work with young people and friends and family.

  • Hybrid: Based in Cupar for facilitating the DFMCS and home based in Fife for planning time.

STAND is a Fife charity which exists to provide peer support to people who are living with a diagnosis of dementia and their families and friends, to support people to live well with dementia taking an asset-based approach, valuing and building on members’ skills and experiences. It does this through a range of approaches - including the provision of Dementia Friendly Meeting Centre Spaces across the Kingdom.

STAND’s Board of Trustees is made up of people with lived experience of dementia and their supporters.

The Cupar DFMCS will take place on Friday afternoons. There may be the opportunity for additional freelance hours at other DFMCS across Fife.

  • On site: : A range of social event venues (within or outwith Fife), and home-based for any planning hours. Various days/times (including evenings/weekends).
