The Scottish Legal Aid Board is responsible for managing legal aid in Scotland. Legal aid allows people who would otherwise not be able to afford it, to get help for their legal problems. SLAB has been asked by the Scottish Government to develop and implement the delivery of the new Scottish National Standards for Information and Advice Providers’ (SNSIAP) model.

Scottish Legal Aid Board (SLAB) are recruiting new SNSIAP peer reviewers in money/debt and housing. We are looking for people who are confident in their subject knowledge of housing or money/debt advice who can be objective about other people’s work and who appreciate that there are many different ways of delivering quality advice.
You must work in Scotland, have good written English and be able to make and justify difficult decisions; be open and responsive to constructive feedback and be able to give the same feedback to others. Attention to detail and good time management skills are also essential.
