As a Volunteer Coordinator you will perform a vital function in developing and supporting a volunteer team who will be providing befriending services to those age 65+. You will assess service users and support them through the journey with the organisation.

You will work towards developing an excellent working relationship with our volunteers and clients and continuously strive to improve the level of service that the organisation is providing. Connecting people with each other and the right information is key. Strong communication skills combined with strong organisational skills and good prioritisation abilities are key to success in this role. Occasional evening and weekend working could be necessary.

The Role

The Engagement Officer is a key role that will ensure that we continue to respond to, and meet the community’s needs and that everyone is aware of, and benefiting from all of the services that we offer including 1-2-1 befriending, in person and digital events and volunteering opportunities. You will be out and about engaging with the community.

Marketing and social media planning and execution is a key component of this role. Ensuring a consistent tone across all channels, you will identify opportunities to promote the work of the No 1 to raise awareness, raise funds and acknowledge our successes. You will work to support volunteers too in their creation of social media posts and blogs. You will utilise social media analytics providing monthly reporting on social media channels, and keeping abreast with current trends

We are looking for someone who is an excellent communicator, that can engage with all people, and with experience of using different methods to engage across both in person and online spheres. The postholder will develop relationships and opportunities with partners and other social, environmental and local businesses, to further our aims and better support isolated individuals.

The post holder will be self-motivated, able to drive their own workload, and with enthusiasm to succeed. They will have excellent interpersonal skills, and be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in written communications with a wide range of audiences.Occasional evening and weekend working could be necessary

The Heritage Participation & Inclusion Worker’s main role will be to engage those who are marginalised/hard to reach e.g. English is not their first language, not digitally connected, mobility, sensory and geographical barriers and deliver high quality participant support as they engage with the heritage project.

You will have excellent communication skills with the ability to connect with stakeholders at all levels, and strong time management skills to manage a varied and demanding workload. We are seeking a Project Coordinator to work proactively and creatively with local communities, partners and voluntary/public sector agencies in promoting and engaging in heritage activities.The project will build heritage around stories, pictures, and activities using intercultural dialogue and intergenerational education among a diverse group of people.

In this role, the successful candidate will perform a vital function in developing and delivering the project, the activity programme, implementing well-being activities into activities. We are looking for an experienced Administrator with excellent IT skills to support the day-to-day operations of the heritage activities, befriending services and virtual event programme. The role also includes helping people get connected and learn to use digital platforms.

As the IT/Administrator, you will be part of a team working to support both service users and volunteers in different areas across Glasgow. This includes providing the administrative support to the volunteering team and liaising between the Co-ordinators to ensure that the clients can fully participate; and providing support during events to ensure accessibility, giving our clients the solutions and support they need to operate the technology successfully.

Candidates will ideally have worked on virtual events including webinars and broadcasts/live streaming previously. You should ideally be well versed in working with different platforms and software.

We are excited to invite applications for our Operations Manager vacancy. This role is an integral position managing the efficient and effective running of operational services, business administration, monitoring on all income and expenditure matters, HR management, liaison with key stakeholders reporting to the board and funders. You will contribute to the development of operational strategic plans, direction and decision making and proactively work towards the achievement of shared objectives. This includes developing and implementing strategies, key objectives, systems, processes and procedures relating to administration, resources, premises and health & safety.

You will be responsible for managing a multi-disciplinary team which includes Volunteer Coordinators working to support volunteers in different areas in Glasgow and collaborating as a team. You will be joining us at a time of change and growth, when we are expanding our services to meet increasing demand from local older people and developing services as a result of the pandemic. You will be responsible for working with colleagues to ensure we have sufficient volunteers who are supported and engaged in rewarding activity and can deliver our high quality, friendly services. You will also play an essential role in our fundraising and community engagement events and to solicit pro bono professional support from volunteers and the board members.

This role manages a multidisciplinary team that delivers services, events and activities and volunteering in a dynamic and changing environment. You will have experience of working in a similar role, and with sound business operational experience you will be able to communicate effectively at a number of levels as we work towards a new `normal’. You will help ensure that our internal operations run as efficiently as possible, as well as supporting our day-to-day relationships with strategic partners, funders and volunteers working with a highly committed team. In this role, the Volunteer Co-ordinator will perform a vital part in supporting existing volunteers, matches and developing new volunteer opportunities; assessing service users and supporting them through the journey.

The successful candidate will have excellent organisational and interpersonal skills as well as a good understanding of the needs and concerns of older people as well as those from hard to reach groups within the community.
