We are looking for proactive, creative and flexible Learning and Wellbeing Practitioners to join our new service WoodlaND Learning.
WoodlaND Learning is a service for neurodivergent people aged 12-18 who find attending a mainstream school extremely challenging due to the environment preventing participation and engagement with learning.
Working with the team leader, you will support the learning and wellbeing of neurodivergent young people in a woodland environment. You will proactively plan, assist and lead the delivery of a range of activities that support the achievement of agreed outcomes.
You will either be qualified in Forest School Level 3/SCQF Level 8 or equivalent in Bushcraft Skills, have demonstrable experience in forest school type environment or additional transferable skill set such as Art/Music/Science which can be applied directly within this setting. Experience of working effectively with neurodivergent people and facilitating activities which promote wellbeing and learning new skills relevant to daily life are essential. You will be a creative problem-solver, able to respond flexibly to changing circumstances while providing structured and consistent support that meets individual needs. With passion for outdoor learning, you will be committed to promoting the benefits of spending time outdoors to the young people are essential.
You will work 39 weeks of the year, but your pay is averaged over the year to receive a monthly salary, even during the school holidays.
