Since 2012 East Dunbartonshire Voluntary Action (EDVA) has been the Third Sector Interface organisation in East Dunbartonshire. We help to build capacity, share knowledge, create positive connections, advocate for the sector and support volunteering.

As an Engagement and Development Officer, you will take a collaborative and hands-on approach delivering a wide range of activities supporting and developing the capacity of the local Third Sector and championing the value and contribution of our local Third Sector and volunteers.

Based in Kirkintilloch, this is an exciting opportunity to build relationships with, support and champion the vital work of community groups, charities and social enterprises within East Dunbartonshire and support links between the third sector and statutory agencies.

Location

The role is based in our office in Kirkintilloch with travel across East Dunbartonshire and occasionally further afield. Some hybrid working may be possible.

The Business Support Intern will provide administrative and reception support to ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the organisation, while assisting staff with project administration, communications and events.

The role is intended as a developmental opportunity, providing experience across office administration, community engagement and project support.

Where the role fits in our organisation

Our Communications and Impact team leads on communications, media, engagement with the third sector and partners across Dumfries and Galloway, systems, data and insights, evaluation and impact, storytelling, regional and national sector promotion, and internal communications. This role reports to our Head of Communications and Impact and is peer-supported by the other members of the Communications and Impact team.

What You'll Do

We are looking for a colleague to lead our digital transformation, change management and innovation agenda, both within TSDG and across the wider third sector in Dumfries and Galloway. Internally, you will develop and deliver a digital roadmap for TSDG, championing effective use of our core platforms and building staff confidence and capability. Externally, you will strengthen digital inclusion in Dumfries and Galloway, lead our digital collaboration tool, and help other third sector organisations optimise their digital use and collaborate more effectively.

• Develop and lead delivery of a digital transformation roadmap for TSDG, covering systems, data, process improvement and digital capability.

• Deliver effective, joined-up use of internal digital platforms, reducing duplication, improving data flow between systems and strengthening reporting.

• Lead change management activity through communication and training, supporting staff to adopt new tools and ways of working.

• Identify and pilot digital approaches, including emerging AI tools, that could improve our efficiency or service delivery.

• Lead, develop and monitor our digital collaboration tool, including the digital collaboration of the Whole Family Support project alongside Borders and Midlothian TSIs.

• Work with third sector organisations across Dumfries and Galloway to deliver measurable improvements in the sector’s digital maturity, promoting shared digital tools and good practice and leading peer learning and knowledge-sharing.

• Lead TSDG’s participation in the TSI/DIA Local to National learning pilot, and develop and chair a Local Digital Steering Group to embed and evidence digital inclusion in local strategies and plans.

• Produce clear, accessible evidence and recommendations to inform partners, funders and decision-makers.

• Represent digital transformation interests in relevant local partnerships, strategy groups and funding conversations.

• Support colleagues across TSDG and contribute to effective team working, in line with our values.

• You may have experience of supporting multiple external organisations to improve shared digital practice or collaboration.

Fife Voluntary Action is seeking a Head of Employability who will be the strategic lead for the co-ordination and collaboration of third sector employability services, and who will represent the sector strategically. You will work collaboratively with statutory and third sector partners to maximise the contribution and impact of the third sector on improving employment outcomes in Fife.

In this role, you will:

• Represent the sector at strategic partnership meetings, specifically the Opportunities Fife Partnership (OFP) Board
• Proactively build and maintain relationships with external stakeholders at all levels to understand national and local challenges and emerging issues
• Inform, support and promote transparent commissioning of services through OFP and related funding
• Chair and lead on the Employability Forum, Third Sector Employability Conversations and OFP People and Skills Community of Practice
• Lead a team delivering on employability, lived experience and digital inclusion

We’re looking for someone with:

• Experience of working in or with third sector employability organisations and services.
• Excellent understanding of issues affecting the employability sector, including local and national policy
• Excellent communication and partnership skills.
• Experience of line management
