Communities for Children is a £15 million funding programme focused on reducing the impact of child poverty across the UK. In partnership with BBC Children in Need, City Bridge Foundation, The National Lottery Community Fund and Pears Foundation, the programme will provide long-term funding to help local communities design and deliver their own solutions.

Wishaw is set to receive £1.5 million over five years, where Corra will help build strong local partnerships, support community leadership and amplify the voices of children and young people - particularly those who are too often left unheard.

We are now recruiting for a part-time Communities for Children: Place and Participation Specialist. This is an excellent opportunity for people with relevant skills and experience to join this new programme and a friendly, hardworking, passionate team keen to make a difference alongside communities.

Working in the Wishaw Area, the Place and Participation specialist will be instrumental in supporting the development and delivery of community participation and engagement work as part of the Communities for Children team.

You will support the development of ideas and activities and directly deliver a range of participatory approaches to facilitate meaningful participation in the programme, ensuring that community views support design, delivery and decision making processes.

You’ll bring experience of working alongside local communities and offer excellent interpersonal, relationship building and communication skills, strong organisational skills, enthusiasm and a willingness to learn. You’ll also have a commitment to Corra’s ‘ways of working’.

Make a lasting difference for families across Ayrshire

CEIS Ayrshire is seeking an experienced and values-driven Programme Manager to lead the delivery of Family Forward Ayrshire, an ambitious whole-family support programme funded through the Scottish Government's Whole Family Support Third Sector Delivery Fund.

Working with a partnership of five organisations, Family Forward Ayrshire will support over 430 families across North, East and South Ayrshire, helping families increase income, improve wellbeing, overcome barriers and progress towards employment and learning opportunities.

This is a unique opportunity to lead a large-scale collaborative programme that places families at the centre of service design and delivery.

About the role

As Programme Manager, you will provide strategic and operational leadership for the programme, ensuring delivery against targets, managing partnerships, maintaining funder relationships and creating an environment where innovative, trauma-informed and family-led practice can flourish.

You will oversee programme performance, contractual compliance, budget management, evaluation activity and the development of long-term sustainability plans. Working closely with partner organisations, local authorities, the Scottish Government and other stakeholders, you will play a key role in shaping the future of whole-family support across Ayrshire.

We are looking for someone who has:

• Significant experience managing complex multi-agency or partnership programmes
• A successful track record of delivering funded projects and achieving contracted outcomes
• Strong people leadership and staff management skills
• Experience managing substantial budgets and reporting to funders
• Excellent partnership-building and stakeholder management abilities
• Understanding of child poverty, family support and employability services
• Commitment to trauma-informed, person-centred and strengths-based approaches

About the role

Working as part of a multi-disciplinary whole-family support team, you will lead the employability and progression strand of family plans.

You will work directly with parents who are ready to explore work, training or learning opportunities, helping them identify realistic next steps and ensuring any changes improve their financial circumstances.

You will build relationships with employers, employability providers and training organisations across Ayrshire, creating opportunities that recognise the realities of family life and support sustainable progression.

Key responsibilities

• Support parents to identify and achieve employability goals

Job Purpose

To provide high-quality advice, casework and representation to individuals and families on welfare benefits, income maximisation and debt, in accordance with the Scottish National Standards for Information and Advice Providers (SNSIAP) Level 2. This includes providing advice on debt solutions, negotiating with creditors and supporting clients to access the most appropriate debt solution, including the Debt Arrangement Scheme (DAS), sequestration and other statutory and non-statutory debt remedies.

As a Senior Money Adviser, you will also provide technical guidance and support to colleagues, mentor and develop advisers, contribute to quality assurance activities, and support the Service Manager in maintaining high standards of advice and continuously improving the service. You will help develop effective partnerships with external organisations and contribute to training, service development and the achievement of organisational objectives.
