Corra Foundation’s vision is for a society in which people create positive change and enjoy fulfilling lives. At Corra we are committed to increasing the diversity of our team and encourage applications from all backgrounds.
Communities for Children is a £15 million funding programme focused on reducing the impact of child poverty across the UK. In partnership with BBC Children in Need, City Bridge Foundation, The National Lottery Community Fund and Pears Foundation, the programme will provide long-term funding to help local communities design and deliver their own solutions.
Wishaw is set to receive £1.5 million over five years, where Corra will help build strong local partnerships, support community leadership and amplify the voices of children and young people - particularly those who are too often left unheard.
We are now recruiting for a part-time Communities for Children: Early Years and Children Specialist. This is an excellent opportunity for people with relevant skills and experience to join this new programme and a friendly, hardworking, passionate team keen to make a difference alongside communities.
Working in the Wishaw Area, the Early Years and Children specialist will be instrumental in supporting the ideas and experience of children and young people to inform all aspects of the Communities for Children programme.
You will support the development of activities and directly deliver a range of participatory approaches to facilitate meaningful participation in the programme by children and young people, ensuring that their views support design, delivery and decision making processes.
You’ll bring experience of working within early years and children settings and offer excellent interpersonal, relationship building and communication skills, strong organisational skills, enthusiasm and a willingness to learn. You’ll also have a commitment to Corra’s ‘ways of working’.
