About the Role:
Our Shettleston service is looking for a Support Worker to join the team on a fixed-term basis for 18 months. This role will operate on a 4-week rolling rota, working 35 hours per week, including early shifts, backs shift and select weekend work. Our Shettleston service is located in East end of Glasgow with referrals coming via the Glasgow Social Work Continuing Care Team at Glasgow City Council. The Support Worker will support 8 young people between the ages of 16-25 in their own flats, who come from a care background and have often experienced complex trauma through their lives. As a young person service there is a significant importance of having positive relationships with the young people and the benefits that brings to them.
Main Responsibilities:
As a Support Worker, you will provide practical and emotional support, empowering the people we support to achieve their personal outcomes and live as independently as possible. We work in a trauma-informed manner and recognise each person as an individual, with their own strengths, qualities and support needs.
