We're looking for someone who is highly organised, comfortable managing multiple priorities, and confident using digital systems such as Microsoft 365 and our database. About Changes East Lothian

Changes East Lothian was founded in 1996 and we are currently celebrating turning 30. We provide early, short term interventions for those experiencing mild to moderate mental health issues such as low mood and depression, stress and anxiety, transitional life changes and social isolation and loneliness.

We offer short term 1:1 counselling with counsellors registered with either BACP or COSCA. We work with the East Lothian Health and Social Care Partnership to provide group therapy supported by our NHS Psychologist.

We also provide 1:1 befriending as well as various wellbeing activities, groups, courses and information sessions. Another focus is our suicide prevention and wellbeing training programmes which we deliver both free and commercially.

Mindspace is seeking motivated and experienced Young People’s Counsellors to join our established counselling service, delivering professional, supportive counselling within school settings across Perth City and Rural Perth & Kinross.

This role involves supporting children and young people aged 10–18, with some work also supporting P6 and P7 pupils within the wider community.

About the Role

As a Young People’s Counsellor, you will:

• Deliver a professional one to one counselling service within school settings
• Provide counselling to children and young people presenting with a range of emotional and mental health needs
• Undertake assessments, plan and deliver therapeutic interventions, and review progress
• Maintain accurate and confidential case records, statistics, and school reporting documentation using Salesforce CRM
• Practice in accordance with BACP ethical frameworks, safeguarding, and child protection procedures
• Work closely with the Senior Counsellor to ensure consistent standards and service quality
• Liaise appropriately with school staff, admin colleagues, and partner organisations
• Attend wellbeing meetings and engage fully in supervision and reflective practice
• Contribute to service development and ongoing improvement

Person Specification

Essential

• A recognised counselling diploma
• Specialist training in counselling children and young people
• Current membership of BACP or COSCA
• Experience providing therapeutic counselling to children and young people
• Ability to work within a recognised theoretical framework
• Strong understanding of safeguarding, confidentiality, and child protection in youth or school settings
• Good organisational skills and ability to manage a counselling caseload
• Willingness to travel between schools as required

• Experience of working within school environments
• Experience liaising with partner agencies or multidisciplinary teams

We are looking to recruit a values-driven Youth and Family Outreach Worker. Funded by Corra Foundation’s The Way Forward for Families Fund and working in partnership with East Lothian Council Children’s Services and Mid & East Lothian Drug and Alcohol Partnership, the purpose of this post is to provide support to children and young people affected by parental drug and/or alcohol use. Recognising children’s rights, as guided by the UNCRC (article 12) is vital to this role, and is influenced by Circle’s whole family support and the “Grow Your Own routes” model set out by Scottish Families Affected by Drugs (SFAD).

The Youth and Family Worker aims to ensure that young people affected by substance use are visible, have a voice and are empowered to effect change. The support aims to reduce harm, and the impact of substance use on young people and their family by offering strengths-based and co-produced one-to-one, peer, advocacy and group work in youth and community settings.

It is expected that the post holder will do some occasional evening work.

An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our small Finance team. This role is part of a small Finance team that responds flexibly and efficiently to the growing demands of the Commission.

The post-holder will work closely with the existing Finance Officer and report to the be responsible for the Finance Manager. The role covers a full and varied range of Finance tasks, including management accounting, accounts payable, payroll, pensions, financial policies and procedures, procurement and external/internal audit activities.

We are looking for someone who brings:

• A formal Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) Qualification or equivalent
• Substantial practical experience in a Finance role with significant experience of management accounting, accounts payable and payroll.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Flexibility to support with a broad range of finance duties.
