We are looking for a permanent therapist and a freelancer to join our Therapy Centre Team. We are open to considering a range of accredited therapists - art, music, drama, filial, play. Scottish Adoption and Fostering is an established voluntary sector provider of specialist adoption services. We have built our reputation on the delivery of high quality and innovative services based on best practice. This is an exciting time to join the Agency as we expand our work to include a mainstream fostering service.

The permanent role is for 18 hours a week and will involve some travel to work with children and families within a 60-mile radius of our Edinburgh Office. We want to take a flexible approach so if there are therapists who can commit to a set number of hours a week that are fewer than 18 hours we would love to hear from you.

The freelance role is primarily to work with families in Glasgow and the West of Scotland, again we are flexible and could vary the number of hours for the right candidate.

First Step is a community-based organisation working directly with families and young children in the early years. We support parents to build confidence, strengthen relationships and create a nurturing environment for their children. Our services include early learning and childcare, family learning and wellbeing activities, dedicated family support and outreach, and a range of opportunities for volunteering and community involvement.

We are seeking a motivated, self-starting Fundraising Officer, who will be central to the growth and sustainability of First Step’s work. You will lead on securing funding and developing new projects that respond to the needs of families with young children.

With excellent communication skills, you will work closely with the Project Manager and the Strategic Board to shape and deliver innovative, community led initiatives that make a real difference to the lives of children and their families. This includes identifying funding opportunities, writing compelling bids and building strong relationships with funders and partners.

Using your creativity, you will also be responsible for raising awareness of First Step’s services through events, presentations, marketing materials, and managing social media and website content. We’re looking for a versatile individual who communicates effectively at all levels, writes clearly, collaborates well with others, and can work independently when needed.

Our Options (Residential) Fife service is a full-time, residential house offering long-term residential care for children and young people with complex learning and physical disabilities. We provide a loving, nurturing home for our supported young people who live with us for many years.

What we are looking for....

We are looking for a Young People’s Worker (30 hours per week) to become part of our Aberlour family. Every child and young person has the right to flourish, and they are at the heart of everything we do. As a Young People’s Worker, you will play a fundamental role in ensuring that our young people are supported to live their best lives. Not without its challenges and demands, this is a highly rewarding role. You will provide enabling support to ensure the highest level of physical, personal, and emotional care to support our young people with different daily activities. These activities can include swimming, football, arts and crafts and other interests. Each of our young people has a personalised plan to help them achieve their goals.

Working at Options (Residential) Fife, you will become part of a highly skilled, experienced, and established team. You will have a supported induction programme, with access to an extensive training programme which includes Epilepsy training, Moving and Handling training (including specialised training to assist supported people with movement) and CALM training.

Ideally, candidates will have social care experience, an understanding of complex needs and disability and relevant experience of working with children or young people. You will hold, or be willing to work towards, a relevant professional qualification at SCQF level 7 or above, for example: SVQ 3 Social Services (Children and Young People) plus an HNC. You must also be able to demonstrate awareness of the key elements of working with people affected by disability as well as an understanding of, and commitment to young people’s rights.

Hours will be worked over the residential rota and will include dayshift, backshift, weekends, and public holidays. Every worker has one long weekend in three off.

We are looking for a Community Fundraising Officer to support the planning, delivery, and growth of the charity’s community and events fundraising activity; including parent-led fundraising events and community activities.

This hands-on role involves working closely with parents, families, and community supporters who raise funds in memory of their babies, providing exceptional care and guidance to ensure they feel supported and valued.

You will help coordinate a wide range of events and campaigns; from local community activities and challenge events to virtual and digital fundraisers, while supporting the Communications Lead to promote these opportunities across multiple channels. This position is ideal for someone with a warm, compassionate approach who enjoys building relationships, supporting others, and helping make a meaningful difference.

This is a really varied role, with some evening and weekend work, as and when required.

You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating sensitivity and empathy in dealing with bereavement and baby loss.
