The Service consists of a 7 day street outreach team and a very busy city centre multi agency hub.

The team also delivers a street cycles service with a small team of volunteers, a freephone and intensive case management approach.

You will be responsible for and lead a large team, working with partners across a range of services to create and develop solutions in a challenging environment.

The people we support have experienced significant trauma and whilst not having a safe and secure place to live is a huge deficit, there are many other factors at play requiring a highly person centred trauma informed approach to engage with and find the right solution for the person.

We are looking for a Pathways Coordinator for Lochaber High School, to work with young people, mentors and school staff involved in the MCR Pathways programme.

About the role:

You will be the key person delivering the MCR Pathways mentoring programme to young people in Lochaber High School. You will work within the school and form an integral part of the school community and wider MCR team. You will support volunteers from the local community who give their time to mentor a young person for an hour a week at the school.

Key responsibilities:

- Helping to build exceptional individual relationships with young people across S1 to S6.

- Consistently supporting and engaging with volunteer mentors throughout their participation with the programme. Helping to drive volunteer recruitment in the local community.

- Actively support MCR young people in school as they follow their education and employment pathways.

- Evidencing progression, impact and best practice for the MCR programme in your school.

About you:

- Exceptional ability to build meaningful relationships with young people aged 11-18 years, education colleagues, volunteer mentors, local employers and community organisations.

- Awareness and understanding of the principles of safeguarding and child protection.

- Ability and confidence to present programme information and deliver prepared training sessions to groups of young people and adults.

- Ability to work well on your own initiative, as part of a team and on a flexible basis in response to the current needs of the programme.

- An understanding of the challenges and barriers that care-experienced and/or vulnerable young people may encounter.

- Experience or a knowledge of processes to document and evidence good practice and positive outcomes.

- Confident in the use of Google and/or Microsoft Word, spreadsheets and Teams.

MCR Pathways is an award-winning charity established in Glasgow in 2007. Our mentoring programme is now delivered in schools across the whole of Scotland, including the Highlands and Islands. Reporting to the Senior Delivery Manager and based at Celtic Park, Glasgow, this role is a vital part of Celtic FC Foundation’s operations. The Project Coordinator will support the delivery of a wide range of community projects, with a strong focus on poverty alleviation and social inclusion. In addition, the role will involve management responsibility, including the supervision of sessional staff or junior team members to ensure effective and consistent project delivery. The post-holder will work closely with colleagues and participants, ensuring the highest standards of safeguarding, integrity and confidentiality, while helping to create a meaningful and lasting impact in the lives of those we support.

Key accountabilities will include:

• Support the planning, coordination, and delivery of community-based projects aligned with the Foundation’s priority areas of poverty and inclusion
• Act as a key point of contact for project participants, providing guidance, support, and signposting as required
• Supervise and support sessional staff or junior team members to ensure high-quality and consistent project delivery
