At a critical time for the not-for-profit social care and support sector, the Coalition of Care & Support Providers in Scotland (CCPS) is recruiting for a Policy Officer (Children & Young People).
If ever there was a time to join the effort to advocate for social care and support, it’s now. You’ll join a committed, talented and values-driven staff team, bringing your knowledge, skills and expertise to supporting our community of provider organisations and ensuring their voices are heard.
The right candidate will help to strengthen our organisation, which is dedicated to ensuring not-for-profit social care providers have the right landscape to deliver the best possible support for people and communities in Scotland.
You’ll be committed to working collaboratively and upholding the values of CCPS in all you do so that we can achieve our vision together. We’ll be committed to developing you and your career in a forward-thinking and supportive organisation.
About the role
The successful candidate will champion issues in the key policy areas of family support, child poverty and sector sustainability to support our members to deliver life-changing work.
We’re looking for someone who will enjoy using a mix of credible quantitative and qualitative sources to develop and influence policy that impacts positively on the lives of people. You’ll bring a blend of creativity and rigour to your work and take a strongly values-led approach, consistent with the social care and support sector. You should be happy working in a small team and deadline-driven environment.
