Our brand new centre needs a very special manager!
The MAC , Monifieth Activity Centre, is a brand new community building at Riverside Drive Monifieth scheduled to open mid September 24.
This exciting building offers flexible spaces for groups and activities, a large events space, fitness suite, a café and the local Library, and we’re now looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated manager. A committed, flexible, experienced and self-motivated person to work together with MCRG Board of Trustees and the appointed professional team to drive forward the next phase of our exciting project.
Reporting directly to the Board you will play a lead role in looking after the MAC as well as supporting other groups to help deliver a wide variety of projects. This will require you to manage your workload and work effectively to deadlines
Ideally, you will have previous experience of managing community projects, excellent communication and people skills including social media and the ability to organise and promote events and activities that deliver our aims and aspirations. You will have an inclusive approach which will empower people to play an active part. You will also demonstrate financial awareness along with the ability to run a multi-functional building.
You will succeed by working with and drawing on the experience and skills of the local community and relevant agencies to promote partnership working and to develop local groups so that they are self-sustaining.
The Centre Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day coordination and management of the MAC and should have the necessary administrative and organisational skills to enable this to happen.
