Paths for All is a Scottish Charity. We have a clear focus. We want to get Scotland walking: Everyone. Everyday. Everywhere. Our vision is for Scotland to be a walking nation. We want everyone to have the opportunity to be active every day, creating a happier, healthier and greener Scotland. A key element of this work involves encouraging behaviour change and participation in daily activity through the right programmes, infrastructure and community opportunities.

This exciting and impactful role will involve working in partnership with a number of agreed workplaces to develop and roll out a high-quality programme of surveys, travel planning and walking interventions (such as the Step Count Challenge) to aid in the development of a walking culture and behaviour change.

Based regionally, each development officer will work across between 2 and 5 medium to large employers and will spend much of their time in targeted workplaces providing a direct link for staff and the organisations. The first task, supported by the Workplaces Senior Development Officer will be delivering a workplace assessment in each workplace before developing a programme of interventions based on the barriers identified within the initial assessment. It will also be important to identify and recruit volunteer workplace champions as the year progresses. It is expected that the initial focus will be on building relationships, recruiting volunteers and carrying out the assessments before delivering targeted interventions.

If you’re looking for a new challenge in a varied role, are interested in supporting communities to thrive, reducing health inequalities and working towards net-zero, we’d love to hear from you.
