Prevention and Young Person Trauma Practitioner

Role

Experience of delivering one to one trauma focussed support is essential as is experience in presenting in a group environment.

The aim of this post is to deliver Prevention workshops to young people within youth group and educational settings; there will also be a requirement to deliver sexual violence workshops to the Fife Violence Against Women’s Partnership within Fife.

The post holder will also be responsible for delivering FRASAC’s specialist sexual violence support services, including advocacy as required, to young people aged 12-25, who have experienced any form of sexual violence at any time in their lives, including, rape, sexual assault, child sexual abuse or commercial sexual exploitation.

The post-holder will take an approach informed by an understanding of trauma, including complex trauma. The post-holder will be required to work across the different functions of the service including initial assessment, short- and long-term support, group support and video calls/text/email support.
