Role

Clackmannanshire Economic Regeneration Trust (SCIO) – CERT – is a small, innovative charity established to help Clackmannanshire to become a vibrant place to live where people are happy, healthy and where opportunities, connections and support are available for all. clacksregen.org.uk

In 2022, CERT completed the delivery of a major Pre Employability programme in Clacks and are now contracted to deliver the Multiply programme in Clacks as well as part of Positive Moves, the Shared Prosperity Fund People and Skills programme. Working in partnership with others, we are working to increase the capacity of childcare provision in Clackmannanshire including afterschool care; leading the design of innovative transport solutions to reducing barriers to employment; establishing close engagement with community organisations to stimulate and support positive resident engagement with supports.

Through our support of the Clackmannanshire Provider Network, we are working with over 100 stakeholders in Clacks to improve supports to residents in a wide range of areas including mental health, school engagement and wider economic regeneration.

CERT has grown rapidly over 2 years and now has a turnover of over £300,000 and 8 members of staff. We have a strong board of 7 trustees and reflecting our expected continued growth, we are now looking to further grow and strengthen the board.

We are particularly interested in those who have a close connection to Clackmannanshire and those with experience and knowledge of employability supports, transport, childcare, mental health (key barriers to securing employment) and physical regeneration.

The Board meets every 2 months, on line for c2 hours.
