We are seeking a full-time support worker on a permanent basis to work with an active young man, providing support for him to live and thrive within a supported living setting.

Fred needs a motivated support worker who enjoys exploring outdoors. Fred enjoys music, dancing and playing on his iPad.

The ideal candidate would therefore be patient, motivated, calm and have a creative approach to help Fred reach his full potential. He needs stability and consistency in a peaceful environment to help him develop his life skills.

He works as part of a social enterprise, bagging up firewood to sell and preparing firewood to sell to the local community. He has a community job which he needs support to access. He needs encouragement and support to do his work and to develop his life skills both inside and beyond the community he lives in.

Candidates should have the following qualities and experience:

  • Experience of supporting people with autism
  • Experience in providing Behavioural Support
  • Experience of anxiety, distress, stress and challenging behaviour
  • Be a clear communicator and work as part of a small team
