Role

Could you help us build the relationships and funding that enable young people and families to live life to the full?

SiMY Community Development has been creating opportunities for young people and families in Glasgow for over 26 years. Our mission is to create opportunities for young people to realise their potential and make lasting positive impacts for themselves, their families and their communities.

Through our Gardening, Outdoor Activities and Creative programmes, we create Space to Breathe and Room to Grow. We provide opportunities for young people and families to connect with nature, spend time outdoors, be creative, build supportive relationships and develop confidence, skills and a sense of belonging.

About the role

We are looking for a motivated and skilled Trusts, Foundations & Partnerships Officer to help us sustain and grow SiMY's work.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in securing the resources and building the relationships that make our work possible. You will identify and develop opportunities with trusts, foundations and other partners; prepare high-quality funding applications and reports; and build strong relationships with funders and supporters.

Working closely with our CEO and Programme Leads, you will help tell SiMY's story clearly and honestly, communicating the difference our work makes to young people and families.

As SiMY continues to grow, you will also have the opportunity to help develop new partnerships and contribute to our longer-term approach to fundraising and organisational sustainability.

Hours: 2 days per week (flexible and negotiable)

Contract: Fixed-term for 18 months

Pension: 3% employer contribution

Location: Glasgow, with flexible working arrangements

Annual leave: 35 days, including public holidays (pro rata)

Other benefits: Access to Wisdom Wellbeing through BrightHR, including free counselling support

Please see the full job description and person specification for further information about the role.

  • Confident building positive relationships with a range of people and organisations.
  • Proactive, curious and able to spot new opportunities.
  • Committed to SiMY's values and to creating positive opportunities for young people and families.

You will be joining a small, committed team where everyone plays an important part. We are looking for someone who can work independently while also enjoying collaboration and being part of a supportive organisation.

Why join SiMY?

This is an exciting time to join SiMY. We have grown significantly in recent years and are continuing to strengthen our organisation to ensure that more young people and families can benefit from the opportunities we create.

The Trusts, Foundations & Partnerships Officer will play an important part in our next stage of development, helping us build a sustainable future and develop the relationships and resources needed to continue our work.
