We are recruiting three Family Engagement Practitioners to support the delivery of our HENRY and Community
Programmes. The specific location and focus of each post will vary and can be discussed in more detail during
the interview process.
Family Engagement Practitioner (HENRY Programme):
Full Time, 35 hours per week over 52 weeks per annum
Starting salary £26,199 FTE
Family Engagement Practitioner (West Dunbartonshire):
Part Time, 21 hours per week over 52 weeks per annum
Starting salary £26,199 FTE (pro rata £15,719.40)
Family Engagement Practitioner (HENRY/Community):
Part Time, 28 hours per week over 52 weeks per annum
Starting salary £26,199 FTE (pro rata £20,959.20)
Family Engagement Practitioner (Creating Caring Connections):
Full Time, 35 hours per week over 52 weeks per annum
Starting salary £26,199 FTE
This role is suited to practitioners skilled and experienced in supporting children with additional support
needs
Early Years Scotland deliver the HENRY Programme across seven local authorities: Glasgow South, Glasgow North West,
East Dunbartonshire, West Dunbartonshire, Renfrewshire, East Renfrewshire and Inverclyde.
All post are fixed term contracts to 31 March 2027, subject to continued funding. Additional funding
is expected but not confirmed.

Key Responsibilities
Family Engagement Practitioners with Early Years Scotland play a vital role in supporting parents/carers and children
together. You will deliver the evidence-based HENRY group programme, using structured session materials with
confidence and fidelity.
Working alongside a colleague, you will create welcoming, supportive group environments that help families
build:
- positive attachments and relationships
- early communication and shared learning
- healthy routines
and wellbeing practices
- nurturing home learning environments
A typical week may include:
- delivering a health-based programme to parents/carers
- engaging with families across community venues,
nurseries, and schools
You will be fully supported with professional learning, reflective supervision, and opportunities to shape and
evaluate the programmes you deliver.

Qualifications
Applicants’ qualifications must be consistent with those required to register as a Practitioner with SSSC, e.g.:
- HNC Childhood Practice at SCQF Level 7
- SVQ Social Services (Children and Young People) at SCQF Level
7
- Additional ELC qualifications welcomed
- Experience working with children aged 0–12 and their
families is essential. Confidence in group facilitation and delivering structured programme content is highly
desirable.
PVG Scheme membership will be required.
