We’re looking for an experienced, compassionate and confident Senior Waking Nights Practitioner to join our team at Four Square.

You’ll provide calm, consistent and person-centred support throughout the night, while also supporting and guiding the wider night team. We’re looking for someone who is approachable, dependable and confident in making decisions, particularly when responding to challenging or unexpected situations.

Four Square is looking for a Waking Night Practitioner to join our team, providing trauma-informed, person-centred support to people experiencing homelessness.

We’re looking for compassionate, resilient individuals who are confident working independently during overnight shifts while contributing to a supportive wider team. You’ll have excellent communication skills, the ability to respond calmly to challenging situations and a commitment to creating a safe, welcoming environment for the people we support.

Working pattern: This role operates on a four-week rolling rota, with shifts from 9.45pm to 7.45am, including alternate weekends.

• Weeks 1 and 3: Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday nights.

• Weeks 2 and 4: Monday, Tuesday, Saturday and Sunday nights.

All shifts are 10 hours, averaging 35 hours per week over the four-week rota.

About the service

Our Fundraising Team raises the voluntary income that allows Cyrenians to prevent homelessness and support people towards more stable futures. That income comes from individual donors, community groups, schools and businesses across Scotland, many who have stood with us for years.

The team is small, busy and collaborative, and works closely with colleagues in the marketing & communications team, and across our services. Every relationship we look after well helps to support the mission of Cyrenians, to tackle the causes and consequences of homelessness.

About the role

The Fundraising Coordinator is the first person many of our supporters meet. You will hold the day to day tasks of supporter care and help grow our community fundraising, so that everyone who gives to Cyrenians feels thanked, informed and glad they did.

• Be the first point of contact for supporters, making sure enquiries are answered warmly and every gift is processed, recorded and acknowledged promptly.
• Look after an existing portfolio of fundraisers and help deliver a calendar of events, sponsored challenges and community talks.
• Keep our supporter records accurate and compliant, including Gift Aid declarations and consent, and support the team with reporting.

About you

We are looking for someone personable and highly organised, who takes care over the detail and enjoys being the friendly voice of an organisation.

• Excellent customer service and communication skills, in writing, on the phone and face to face.
• Well organised, confident with IT and databases, and able to manage a varied workload to deadlines.
• Experience of working in a busy fundraising environment, with experience working with a supporter database an advantage.

You will join a supportive and motivated fundraising team, reporting to the Senior Fundraising Manager, with regular support and supervision and a clear work plan to shape your first year.

Based within Cyrenians' Community Learning Hub in Falkirk, the services under this role span three key areas: young people's services, community links and homelessness prevention, and specialist mental health support.

Together, these services support people across Forth Valley to overcome barriers, reduce social isolation, improve wellbeing and build stronger connections within their communities. Working closely with partners across health, education and the third sector, the teams help people access opportunities, navigate challenges and move towards positive outcomes.

About the role

As Service Manager, you will lead a team of outreach practitioners, working closely with partners across health, social care, justice, employability and community services, you will ensure services are delivered safely, effectively and in line with Cyrenians' values.

You will support staff to deliver high quality practice, oversee service performance and contribute to the development and sustainability of our work through partnership building, monitoring impact and identifying opportunities for growth.

This is a varied and rewarding role that combines people management, partnership working and service leadership, helping to shape and develop services across Forth Valley.

You will be a collaborative and supportive leader who understands the value of partnership working and building strong relationships to achieve the best outcomes. With experience of leading teams, you will be committed to creating a positive culture where staff feel empowered and supported in their roles.

You will take a person-centred approach, both in supporting your team and in ensuring the people we work alongside receive high-quality support tailored to their individual needs. You will also be confident in demonstrating the impact of your work through reports, presentations, meetings and funding applications.
