About the role

As a Central Support Administrator, you’ll be part of our friendly Facilities team, helping keep our organisation running smoothly day-to-day. This is a varied role where no two days are the same - perfect if you enjoy being busy and learning new things. You’ll often be the first point of contact for visitors and enquiries, so being approachable and helpful is key. Your day-to-day tasks will include:

• Welcoming visitors and managing reception
• Handling phone and online enquiries
• Monitoring stock levels and keeping the kitchen, office, equipment, meeting rooms and storage facility organised and tidy
• Assisting with our fleet vehicles.

We’re looking for someone who:

• Is motivated and ready to learn
• Has good organisation and communication skills
• Is confident using IT (e.g. Microsoft 365 / Office)
• Takes pride in being helpful and reliable.

You don’t need lots of experience as we’ll provide the training you need. This role is a fantastic opportunity to build skills and gain recognised qualifications, including:

• Full on-the-job training and support from experienced colleagues
• Electrical Portable Appliance Testing (PAT)
• First Aid training to enable the postholder to assist with accidents.
• Fire Warden training to provide assistance with fire evacuations.

This role will require occasional driving of fleet vehicles to support operational activities. We recognise that obtaining a full UK driving license can present a financial barrier. Where the successful candidate does not already hold a full UK driving license, we will offer financial support towards lessons and the driving test, subject to terms and conditions.

Once a license has been obtained, there may be opportunities to use a vehicle as part of the role (e.g. supporting our electric and hybrid fleet), providing valuable practical experience.

The Role

We are seeking an organised, proactive, and community-minded Operations Coordinator to help support and develop our growing work across North East Fife and beyond.

This is an exciting entry-level management opportunity within a well-established and highly respected charity. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting day-to-day operations, coordinating projects and volunteers, and helping shape the future direction of community climate action within StAndEN.

As the Project Officer, you will support schools across East Lothian to increase active travel, such as walking, wheeling and cycling. Your work will help pupils, staff and local communities travel in healthier and more sustainable ways.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Deliver behaviour change and engagement projects that encourage active travel.
• Plan, organise and run educational sessions, practical activities and events that help people make positive changes in how they travel.
• Build effective working relationships with schools, community groups and local authorities to support these projects.
• You will recruit, guide and support volunteers who help with the work of the Walk Wheel Cycle Trust, making sure they feel informed and confident.
• This role involves physical tasks such as lifting and moving bicycles, transporting boxes and equipment, and setting up activities within school environments. We welcome applications from all candidates and will consider reasonable adjustments to support individuals in carrying out these duties.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys delivering fun activities with children and adults, who thrives outdoors, with a flexible approach to working independently and in teams.

ABOUT YOU

We’re looking for someone who has experience and understanding in the areas listed below. You don’t need to meet every requirement — if you feel you’d be a good fit, we encourage you to apply.

• At least 3 years of experience working with community groups. This can be paid work or voluntary work.
• An understanding of Active Travel (walking, wheeling, cycling) and the challenges faced by communities who experience inequality or barriers.
• Experience leading group workshops and presenting information clearly, both online and in person.
• Knowledge of safeguarding principles and the ability to apply safe working practices that promote the safety and wellbeing of children, young people, and adults at risk.
• You will be required to travel between schools and transport equipment as part of this role. A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is therefore needed.

As the Resource Planning Manager, you are responsible for understanding how work is carried out across the Trust. This includes looking at activities, processes, projects and programmes to make sure the right people and resources are available when needed.

Your main focus at the start will be on the Delivery directorate. In this area, you will design a clear and practical resource management approach that helps managers plan and use resources more effectively.

You will also work with teams across the whole Trust. Your role is to make sure each team receives the support and resources they need in a timely and efficient way, so that work can be completed smoothly and without unnecessary delays.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Develop clear and practical processes and procedures that support teams in sharing resources effectively. This means making sure people, skills and tools can be used across different programmes and teams in a coordinated and efficient way, helping to avoid gaps or duplication.
• Lead on embedding the Access Resource Planner across the Walk Wheel Cycle Trust. You will act as the main point of contact for the system and support others in using it effectively, helping to ensure it becomes a trusted and widely used tool.
• Designing simple and effective processes that reduce waste, improve efficiency, and minimise delays caused by resources not being used well. This will help projects run more smoothly and avoid common challenges that slow progress.
• Track and report on how resources are used. By looking at past decisions and identifying patterns or trends, you will support better planning and forecasting for future projects.
• Design and put into place a clear resource management framework. This framework will guide how resources are planned, allocated and reviewed, helping teams work in a more coordinated and consistent way across the Trust.

This role would be ideal someone who likes bringing structure and clarity to complex work and enjoys understanding how different pieces fit together. It would suit someone who enjoys working collaboratively across teams, and feels motivated by improving how things are organised so that work runs smoothly and efficiently.
