Role

About MECOPP

MECOPP (Minority Ethnic Carers of People Project) is Scotland’s leading Black and Minority Ethnic carers’ organisation. We work to reduce inequalities, improve access to culturally appropriate services, and support some of the most marginalized communities across Scotland.

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Arts Worker to join our established Gypsy/Traveller service.

The postholder will join an established Community Health Team – ‘Community Health Matters’ – designed to improve health outcomes and reduce health inequalities amongst Scotland’s Gypsy/Traveller community. The Community Health Team is part of a wider programme of work supporting the Gypsy/Traveller community which includes carer support, support for the cared for person, financial resilience, food insecurity, community-based arts and women’s and men’s development work.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone creative with strong development skills and who is passionate about equality and improving outcomes for marginalized communities.
