About the Role
As a Charity Leadership Scotland Trustee, you will help set the strategic direction, support the management of our financial resources, monitor our performance, and help to establish ways to better meet our aims and promote our charitable objects. You will ensure that Charity Leadership Scotland complies with its governing document, charity and relevant company law and any other relevant legislation or regulations, and safeguard the good name and values of Charity Leadership Scotland.

The Role:
The successful applicant is an individual who thrives in a customer orientated environment to provide administrative, committee and delegate support to develop and grow the activities, events and projects delivered by the Membership Engagement Team. The individual would be delivering work for both our internal and external clients so communicating and working with a wide number of audiences is necessary. The Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh is seeking to recruit a Personal Assistant (PA) to the President serving within the President’s Private Office. This is a part-time role based at the College in Queen Street, Edinburgh.
The Role
The postholder will provide support to the President in the conduct of official duties and ensuring the smooth and professional operation of the President’s Private Office. You will manage the President’s diary, co-ordinate the President’s national and international travel, and act as the first point of contact for enquiries and visitors.
While the postholder will work closely with and take day‑to‑day instruction from the President, formal managerial oversight is exercised by the Chief Executive Officer, in accordance with the College’s governance arrangements.
The Person:
We are seeking a pro-active individual with exceptional organisational skills, a calm and professional manner, and the ability to handle sensitive matters with absolute confidentiality.
The postholder will navigate professional relationships and collaborate across teams and someone who operates with a strong sense of duty, integrity, and discretion.

The Scottish Childminding Association (SCMA) is the national voice of childminding in Scotland and a national Third Sector and membership organisation that promotes childminding as a quality childcare service. Working on behalf of its 2,500 childminder members, SCMA helps to improve the wellbeing and outcomes for Scotland’s children and aims to influence policy to ensure that it is informed by the experiences of childminding. SCMA provides a wide range of support and services for members including continuing professional learning (CPL) and practice support. In parallel we deliver a range of contracted services for local authorities to support childminders and vulnerable families. We are recruiting an experienced, innovative, collaborative and solutions-focused Director of Quality, Practice & Learning. The successful postholder will work as part of our Leadership Team contributing to SCMA’s overall policy development, strategic planning, budget preparation and control, and lead on quality, learning and practice development. This new re-focused position presents an exciting opportunity to play a key role in delivering our strategy, future ambitions and in shaping and influencing the development and delivery of childminding practice in Scotland.
The successful applicant will consolidate, oversee and develop our quality function and activities (provided to our membership through our services and to the wider childminding workforce through the Programme for Scotland’s Childminding Future) and contribute to the development and implementation of our CPL strategy, linked to the delivery of our wider organisational strategy.
We are looking for someone who has significant experience and understanding of quality improvement, practice development and professional learning within an early learning/childcare environment; a demonstrable track record in innovation and establishing partnerships (including securing funding); experience of working in partnership with local authorities; and has the drive and enthusiasm to work with us on the next stage of our strategic journey.
Part-time (up to 22 hrs per week) £58,117 – 62,252 pro rata, with potential progression on to £63,728 – 68,394 pro rata.
This is a permanent position. However, as a significant level of our current funding is only confirmed to 31 March 2027 due to the Scottish Parliamentary elections in May 2026, this role could also present a possible interim / secondment / acting-up opportunity. It is also possible that increased hours for this post could be offered in future. The post is home/head office based, days to be agreed, with regular attendance at our Head Office in Stirling. We are recruiting an HR Advisor to provide pro-active and experienced HR advice, support and guidance to line managers on all aspects of our employment policies and practices
The successful applicant will be aligned to support the development of the organisations HR function. In this role you will be the first point of contact for managers requiring support, advice and guidance on all HR and employee related matters. We require an HR Advisor who will listen and support our managers and provide sound HR advice by contextualising policy, procedures and best practice. The role would suit someone with extensive HR experience, is confident to deal with the full range of low through to high-risk employee related matters and has up to date employment law knowledge.
The postholder is required to have proven ability to act with discretion and professionalism and to be able to resolve conflict and seek solutions. Enthusiasm, self-motivation, excellent communication and organisational skills are required.
Starting salary - £35,230 - £38,372 (pro rata for part time staff)
