As we work towards our 20th Anniversary in 2027, we have ambition to support more families across Scotland and the UK. This will mean further capital investment and ultimately increased running costs. You could be a major part of ensuring we have the sustainable income required to achieve that.

Role Purpose

The Fundraising and Corporate Partnerships Manger plays a key role in growing sustainable income for Calum’s Cabin by developing and managing high-value fundraising streams, including a renewed focus on corporate partnerships. The postholder will build strong relationships with corporate supporters, trusts, and community partners, delivering innovative fundraising initiatives that support families affected by cancer.

This role combines strategic development with hands-on delivery and is ideal for an experienced fundraiser who is passionate about making a tangible impact in a small, dynamic charity environment. You will work closely with the Chief Operating Officer and the founders to develop and deliver the Fundraising Strategy.

Who we are looking for

You will be experienced in and passionate about the charity sector, with an ambition to grow as an expert in fundraising. We are looking for a someone with the creativity and initiative to develop new fundraising ideas, and who is professional, personable, and resilient.

As a small team, we provide a significant level of support to families each year. You will be required to undertake a variety of tasks, sometimes working with others in the team, and at other times working independently. You will be a strategic thinker with a hands-on approach.

You will have excellent communication, relationship-building and influencing negotiation, and organisational skills, with a track record of achieving targets.

Charity Information

Family Mediation West provides support to families affected by separation, divorce, and conflict. We have premises in Glasgow and Kilmarnock allowing us to offer services across the West of Scotland. We are affiliated to Relationship Scotland, who support a national network of 21 local service providers for individuals, couples and families experiencing relationship breakdown. Job Information

FM West is entering a new and exciting chapter of service led growth across our charity. We are seeking a Trust & Foundations Executive that can implement a realistic 1-year strategy with the aim of securing additional funding through a variety of funders. The funding we seek is both unrestricted and restricted funding which is key to meet future growth and objectives of the charity. In addition, the postholder will research well aligned funding bodies, complete evaluations and maintain key relationships with existing and new funders. The successful candidate can work within either office, or sometimes both and would mostly be office (not home working) based.

About the role

We’re looking for an Accommodation Deputy Manager to join our Accommodation Team at Ciaran's House, Edinburgh.

We provide practical and emotional support to mitigate the impact of a cancer diagnosis, and support during their cancer journey via expert needs led interventions. Our Accommodation Service is a key member of the integrated Social Work Service within the Services and Impact Directorate, you will play a crucial role in providing a high quality and efficient service to children, young people and families diagnosed with cancer

We are recruiting a Deputy Accommodation Manager in Edinburgh. This role supports the accommodation service locally and across the UK. Our Deputy Accommodation Managers ensure the Home is a safe and welcoming environment for children and young people with cancer and their families. They provide an efficient and effective service in line with the organisation’s accommodation service specification.

Our organisation is committed to the safeguarding of children and vulnerable adults. This role is subject to an Enhanced criminal record check. If successful in application, this role requires an enhanced criminal record check to be completed ahead of starting in the role, together with comprehensive reference checks. A person cannot commence in post without these safeguards. Applicants should be aware these may take time. What will I be doing?

As Deputy Manager, you will support the Accommodation Manager in the safe and efficient management of the Accommodation site, ensuring optimal use of available resources. You will help develop, deliver, and facilitate a Community Model approach within your locality, working with Social Care teams, charity partners, and local organisations to provide comprehensive support for families. You will also support the charity’s Brand and Income Generation initiatives aligned to delivering the community model.

• Understanding of issues relating to childhood cancer, children and young people with disabilities or children and young people with life limiting conditions, including the impact of loss and grief on individuals.
• Ability to appropriately tailor both spoken and written communication with a range of stakeholders e.g. parents, children, team members and charity partners.
• Ability to coordinate support initiatives for the benefit of service users.
• Demonstrate good organisational and administration skills.
• Demonstrate strong research skills.
• Establish and maintain effective and collaborative working relationships.
• Awareness of Health and Safety requirements.
