We are seeking an exceptional individual to be part of our team at our Care Inspectorate registered residential rehabilitation service in West Aberdeenshire. You'll be supported by a charitable organisation with extensive experience in launching and managing top-tier registered care services.

Your role will be pivotal in ensuring that every individual we support receives the highest quality of care and guidance.

We have an exciting and rewarding opportunity to support individuals from across Scotland to access Rae House Residential Rehabilitation service. The role is Monday to Friday, 30 hours per week.

Having experience in working with multiple stakeholders and nurturing relationships you will be able to confidently provide guidance to individuals, families and stakeholders in relation to accessing and developing residential rehabilitation pathways into the service.

You will ensure clients feel supported from the point of referral through to their admission to the residential service; offering responsive support to both the individual and their family members. Completing robust assessments and delivering one-to-one and /or group interventions designed to prepare individuals for a rehab stay. You will also meet individuals on their day of admission and offer support post-admission, ensuring they are welcomed in to the therapeutic community welcome house programme according to their individualised needs. You will be positive, innovative and motivational with the ability to work to your own initiative, as well as part of a large multi-disciplinary team.

About You

To join us as an Assessment and Referral Worker at Rae House, you will need:

• An understanding of the complex issues presented by individuals within drug and alcohol recovery.
• An understanding of working with individuals in the substance use sector or related field.
• The ability to be innovative and be flexible in order to meet the needs of the service.
• Be able to work effectively with multi-agencies, whilst maintaining the excellent reputation of the service.
• Knowledge of adult protection is essential as you will be working with vulnerable adults in a residential setting.

With a focus on nature and the environment, and with 1.2 acres of land on site, our Recovery through Nature projects will provide a holistic approach to healing. The National Lottery Community Fund, Improving Lives- Young Persons Project 2025-2027:

Lanarkshire Rape Crisis Centre (LRCC) has been awarded funding for a 3-year period for a Young Survivors Project. The funding will provide a dedicated Young Survivors Support Service and lead to the creation of a Young People Reference Group. The Support Service will offer a range of individual and peer support options to aid in the recovery from any form of sexual violence or abuse. The Reference Group will be a space for young people to come together in solidarity, have their voices championed and amplified and be a key part of the prevention landscape tackling gender-based violence. The staff employed as part of the project will lead on the development and delivery of the project and work collaboratively within our existing staff teams to deliver the project outcomes.

Core Purpose of Job

To deliver specialist therapeutic support and information services to young survivors age 12-25yrs affected by sexual violence, at our main premises, at outreach locations across Lanarkshire and via virtual methods.

We are seeking Assistant Project Workers to join our city-wide Self-Directed Support Service and Service Centres located across the city. In this role, you will provide personalised support to adults experiencing or recovering from mental health challenges.

As an Assistant Project Worker, you will build supportive and trusting relationships with individuals, helping them achieve their personal goals and maintain their wellbeing. You will also demonstrate strong communication and organisational skills, ensuring that all personal planning guidelines are followed and that you work effectively alongside our key referrers and partner agencies.

While knowledge of the role and purpose of a social care worker is desirable, full induction and training will be provided. This includes training on the SSSC Codes of Practice, the National Care Standards, and how these frameworks apply to your role.

A qualification at SVQ Level 2 (or equivalent), or a willingness to work towards achieving this qualification, is essential.

As these services are registered with the Care Inspectorate, you will be required to pay an annual fee to maintain your registration.

Applicants must be able to demonstrate the values and attitude required to work with people who are living with mental health challenges and who may have complex needs and be able to work flexibly; some early morning, evening and weekend working may be required.
