Through the Merchant Company Endowments Trust, we provide practical support to individuals and charity groups across the city. By working with local partners, we help address need, strengthen communities and promote wellbeing throughout Edinburgh

This is a brand-new position — an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys taking initiative and helping to shape a role from the ground up. You’ll work closely with charity trustees and members of the Charity Committee, building partnerships, coordinating support and contributing to the next chapter of the Company’s charitable story.

About the Role

The Community Charity Coordinator will play a key part in expanding the Trust’s charitable partnerships and ensuring effective support for those who reach out for assistance.

The role blends strong administrative and IT skills with a warm, people-focused approach, delivering meaningful impact through both practical support and relationship-building.

As this is a newly created role, you’ll need confidence, enthusiasm and initiative to establish effective processes, build relationships and help define how the position develops.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone who thrives on variety, enjoys taking ownership and wants to make a visible difference in their community.
