Role

Music in Hospitals & Care is seeking a dedicated and organised Live Music Coordinator to join our team in Scotland.

Improve the health and wellbeing of children and adults through the healing power of live music by arranging vital live music experiences across the UK. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with professional musicians and partner organisations to share live music with people who may not otherwise get to experience it.

The Role

As the Live Music Coordinator, you'll be responsible for the smooth running of our live music programme in Scotland, including:

Main duties and responsibilities include:

• Programme Coordination: Arranging and coordinating the live music programme in line with strategic objectives.

• Administration: Managing live music administration using the Beacon CRM, including creating/updating records and sending confirmation to musicians and settings.

• Stakeholder Engagement: Building strong connections with setting staff, musicians, and representing the charity to develop and grow relationships.

• Quality Assurance: Monitoring the quality of delivery and assessing musician standards. This includes supporting musician recruitment, audition, and induction processes.

• Support & Reporting: Supporting the Live Music Development Managers on service delivery budgets, and keeping them informed of programme progress. You'll also encourage and monitor feedback.

About You

We're looking for someone with experience in an administrative role, ideally within health and social care or arts settings. You will have a strong attention to detail and are used to managing a diverse workload. You will have experience with Microsoft 365 and databases.

Crucially, you will possess a strong commitment to providing high-quality service delivery. You can communicate effectively and professionally across all mediums (email, phone, in person) and have a proven ability to form good working relationships both internally and externally with people at all levels. You are required to handle information confidentially and respond with sensitivity. An interest in the benefits of live music for health and wellbeing is desirable.

About the Organisation

We’re a charity that improves the health and wellbeing of children and adults through the healing power of live music. Every year, our professional musicians share live music with thousands of people from across the UK, who may not otherwise get to experience it. This includes those living with dementia, who have mental health problems, or who are seriously ill.

The successful applicants will require a DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) or equivalent check.
