Role

About Us

Home-Start Renfrewshire and Inverclyde (HSRI) is an award-winning charity providing volunteer-led, family-centred early intervention and prevention support to families with at least one child under five.

Everything we do is rooted in our values of kindness, trust, choice and inclusivity. We believe in walking alongside families, offering timely help and empowering parents to build on their strengths so they and their children can thrive.

The Role

As Funding and Development Officer, you will play a vital role within our Team, helping to secure the resources that make our work possible. This is a role where you will see the real impact of your skills, supporting us to deliver trusted, kind and inclusive services that give families choice and voice.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Securing small, medium and large-scale grants and funding opportunities
  • Writing high-quality, persuasive funding applications
  • Work with staff, volunteers and families to co-design funding proposals
  • Building and nurturing relationships with funders and stakeholders
  • Working alongside Impact and Communications colleagues presenting evidence of impact to demonstrate value to funders
  • Supporting senior leadership in financial sustainability planning
  • Representing HSRI at external and partnership meetings

What We Are Looking For

You will bring strong communication skills, an eye for detail and the ability to tell HSRI’s story in a way that inspires others to invest in our mission. We are looking for someone who shares our values, approaching relationships with kindness, building trust through integrity, ensuring families have real choice and working in an inclusive way.

Why Join HSRI?

This is a rewarding opportunity to use your skills to create lasting change. By securing vital funding, you will help ensure families get the right support at the right time. In return, you will join a supportive team where our values guide not only the way we work with families, but also how we work with each other. Hybrid and flexible working are available to help you thrive in your role.
