Established in 1978, Edinburgh Rape Crisis Centre (ERCC) provides a support, information and advocacy service to all survivors aged 12 and over in Edinburgh, East Lothian and Midlothian who have experienced recent and / or historic sexual violence, including rape, sexual assault, childhood sexual abuse and commercial sexual exploitation. We also work in schools and with young people across Edinburgh and the Lothians, and strategically with multi-agency partners, towards preventing sexual violence.
We are looking for 2 skilled and experienced Counselling Support Practitioners to help deliver our specialist support services for young people and students who have experienced sexual violence at any point in their lives including rape, sexual assault, sexual abuse, sexual bullying and harassment, stalking, commercial sexual exploitation and organised abuse.
The post-holder will take a trauma informed approach and will be required to work across the different functions of the service including initial assessment, short- and long-term support and referral and intake tasks.
A background and experience in a similar setting / previous role is essential.
