Glasgow Association for Mental Health is one of the principle providers of community mental health services in Greater Glasgow. GAMH have been commissioned by Glasgow City HSCP to deliver Compassionate Distress Response Service (CDRS). This work has been developed as part of the NHSGG&C Multiagency Distress Collaborative with the aim of providing a more appropriate and more immediate response to people in distress who do not require a medical, clinical or specialist assessment. The service is available to adults 16+, who at the time of their distress are currently within the Glasgow City HSCP geographical area.
Key Skills:
Knowledge of the SCCC Codes of Practice and the National Care Standards and how these frameworks apply to practice is preferred for all posts. Appointment is subject to receipt of two satisfactory references. All staff will have Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme Membership/Enhanced Disclosure Scotland check completed before any client contact commences.

This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. An offer of work with Glasgow Association for Mental Health will be subject to the outcome of this check being satisfactory.
