The objects of the organisation are:
- the provision of recreational facilities, or the organisation of recreational activities, with the object of relieving isolation and improving the conditions of life for the Deaf Community in Lanarkshire
- the relief of those Members of the Lanarkshire Deaf Community in need by reason of age, ill health, disability, financial hardship or other disadvantage.

Operations Manager

Fortune Works is one of Scotland’s largest social enterprises for people with learning disability. The Operations Manager post will provide an exciting and rare opportunity to help lead the service in providing meaningful social and economic activity to adults with learning disability in north west Glasgow. Fortune Works is part of Enable Glasgow, a long-established member-led organisation which works with people with learning disability and their carers in the city.
Fortune Works supports around 120 people with learning disability to play a full role in the life of the community through providing in-house economic activity and social support, and also in partnership with local community organisations in Drumchapel and north-west Glasgow. Our Operations Managers play a lead role in maintaining and developing these partnerships, and in ensuring the smooth running of a very busy service.
We are looking for people who have management or supervisory experience, drive, initiative, and experience to help us move on to the next stage of our development, and who have a demonstrable commitment to the human rights and inclusion of people who have a learning disability.

This is a pivotal role, combining strategic oversight with hands-on leadership. You will work collaboratively to shape Upmo’s future direction, strengthen partnerships with local authorities and stakeholders, and ensure our services remain responsive, sustainable, and innovative.
You will report directly to the Chief Executive as a key member of the Upmo’s Senior Leadership Team, working to ensure a high-quality, person-centred provision across our services.

Support Workers & Relief Support Workers

We are currently looking to recruit support workers to join our small team within Inclusion Alliance. The role involves supporting people with learning disabilities to be included in the community and lead an ordinary life. Your work would involve helping people to access educational, social, leisure and work or volunteering opportunities in the community.
No experience or formal qualifications are necessary for the role although a caring nature, positive attitude and a sense of fun are important characteristics to have. New staff will receive paid training and undertake shadow shifts with experienced staff members during induction. We want new staff to feel ready and able to work prior to working on their own for the first time.
We have various vacancies available including part time and relief/casual positions in various locations throughout Edinburgh.
Working hours are based between the hours of 8am and 5pm Monday to Friday

Relief/ Casual pay rate- £12.65 per hour
