Kindred Advocacy is looking for an experienced, values-driven Service Manager to lead our front-line Independent
Advocacy services for families, both in the community and within the Royal Hospital for Children & Young
People in Edinburgh.
This is not a role for someone seeking routine. It’s for someone who sees potential - in people, in services, and
ultimately in the transformational power of Independent Advocacy. You’ll bring in-depth knowledge of managing
services and evaluating impact, ideally combined with knowledge of Scotland’s disability landscape. But more
than that, you’ll bring energy, creativity, and initiative - the kind of approach that turns challenges into
opportunities for lasting change.
You might come from social work, health, advocacy, or third sector leadership - what matters most is your
understanding of what family life looks like for those living with disability, and your commitment to ensuring
their voices are heard where it matters most.
As a key member of Kindred’s senior management team, you will help shape the future of our services, manage project
budgets, contribute to strategic decision-making, and play an active role in influencing policy and partnership
across the public, NHS and voluntary sectors.
We offer a supportive, inclusive and collaborative environment built on compassion, mutual respect and shared
purpose. Benefits include an 8% employer pension contribution, generous leave, paid carers’ leave and clinical
supervision.
If you are ready to take on a meaningful challenge and make a real difference for families, we want to hear from you.
And if you’re wondering whether you meet every single requirement please don’t hold back. We welcome
applications from people of all backgrounds and lived experiences who share our passion for advocacy and
inclusion.
