Role

Background

We have developed expertise in stimulating demand for, and trust in, green home improvement through community based social marketing. This report summarises some pilot work in this area. We have since refined our approach and seek to expand it across Glasgow City Region, complemented by traditional marketing approaches.

The Role

This role is an opportunity to take a senior role in an expanding social enterprise focused on the climate change crisis.

The Marketing and Community Engagement Manager will drive demand for our householder services through community engagement, events, online communications and traditional advertising.

In addition, they will ensure an excellent customer experience using customer feedback to steer improvements in service design.

Key Responsibilities

  • Meet targets for numbers of customer enquiries
  • Deliver a programme of in-person and online community events.
  • Other marketing activity including traditional advertising and partnerships with other service providers.
  • Manage our retrofit champion volunteering programme.
  • Data protection for customer data, including GDPR compliance, with outsourced advisory support.
  • Monitoring our customer handling and feedback. Steering service design improvements.
  • Manage team member(s)
  • Support delivery of innovation and consultancy projects
  • Skills And Experience

Required

  • Demonstrable experience of developing and delivering successful marketing and engagement campaigns which drive new business, including community events, online and traditional media.
  • Confident public speaker
  • Experience of successfully engaging with communities, such as participatory design processes or consultations.
  • Line management experience

Preferred

  • Experience in service design.
  • Expertise in workshop facilitation
  • Comfortable with managing IT platforms such as CRM, website, collaboration tools.

Location

You should be based within a commutable distance of our office in central Glasgow.

  • There will be a mixture of office working, events in the community and flexibility to work from home.
  • We serve households and communities across Glasgow City Region.

Schedule

  • We will consider schedules between 0.6 to 1.0 FTE. Please tell us your preference.
  • This role involves community engagement events in evenings and at weekends.
