We have an exciting opportunity to join our Income Generation and Engagement Team as an Assistant Community Fundraiser!

As an Assistant Community Fundraiser, you will be an integral part of supporting the Community Fundraising team to reach their annual income target. You will oversee the running of the Edinburgh fundraising office, including stock management and managing a small team of volunteers. You will help support the team by co-ordinating supporter and volunteer communications, and attend fundraising events when required.

About You

• Experience in an office or customer facing environment

• Ability to work independently within the role, under your own initiative and cooperatively as part of the Community fundraising team.

• Excellent administration skills with a sound working knowledge of CRM databases, Windows-based software, including Word, Excel and Outlook and Teams.

• Exceptional time management and organisational skills, with experience of managing multiple projects at any given time, prioritising and meeting agreed deadlines.

• Ability to vary communication style (both written and verbal) to reflect the needs of the audience.

• Excellent attention to detail

• Knowledge and demonstrable experience of adhering to data handling/GDPR laws and codes of conduct

About the role

We’re looking for a new Travel Clinic Administrator to join our team. The role The role is part time (22.5 hours per week to be worked over Tuesday, Wednesday and Fridays from 08:30am – 4.30pm) and based in our Carberry travel clinic. A varied and interesting opportunity, the role will see you handling all stages of a client’s booking – from responding to an initial enquiry, arranging clinic appointments through to invoicing and taking payments. Additional responsibilities include liaison with agency and corporate clients, ordering of clinic supplies and ensuring client records on our clinical software. A strong candidate will have opportunity to take on additional responsibilities and to develop within the role.

Bringing demonstrable previous relevant experience, you’ll have excellent communication skills and will be excited to contribute to HealthLink360’s vision and mission. Computer literacy is essential and you’ll be able to work on your own initiative without close supervision, as part of a small team. You’ll be self-motivated and innovative, will have attention to detail and good organisational and time-management skills. The Centre Manager will lead and manage a team providing Alzheimer Scotland’s programme of support for people concerned about their brain health or affected by dementia. The Centre Manager will be key to the successful delivery of Alzheimer Scotland’s vision to develop a programme of brain health and dementia support at identified centres across Scotland. Alzheimer Scotland is named after Alois (A-lo-ish) Alzheimer who first identified the brain disease we now recognise as the leading cause of dementia. By building a range of engaging and supportive services in the heart of their community, the Centre Manager will ensure that people have access to:

We are looking for a dynamic person who will support and deliver the ALOIS programme, embedding it within their daily practice and work alongside the Centres Lead to bring the programme to life.

Working with individuals and families, Centre Managers are required to have a warm, flexible approach, as well as skills in empathy and relationship building. We are looking for someone who has strong networking skills and experience of collaborating and developing partnerships both internally and externally.

Line management responsibilities for staff within the Centre is an expected part of the role, including development and supporting a network of volunteers.

Applicants will have an understanding of the aims and values of Alzheimer Scotland supported by excellent communication skills; hold a recognised professional qualification and/or have relevant experience with a willingness to learn and participate in training. Relevant qualifications and/or experience of working with people with dementia would be an advantage.
