Moray Citizens Advice Bureau is an independent, innovative advice organisation providing holistic advice and support to local people.

The Manager of Moray CAB reports to the Board of Directors and is responsible for all aspects of running the bureau and managing staff, volunteers and systems. This is in line with the aims, principles and policies of Citizens Advice Scotland and with a view to maximising the role and impact of the bureau in the community.

Key responsibilities include the coordination of bureau activities, ensuring accurate information and advice is given and identifying funding streams. You will also be responsible for financial management and budgets, quality assurance and administrative/IT systems.

The successful candidate will demonstrate strong leadership and liaison skills, together with line management and financial management experience and the ability to network and to work effectively under pressure. A demonstrable commitment to the values and principles of Citizens Advice Scotland is a key requirement.

Since 1984 Granton Information Centre (GIC) have worked hard to improve the lives of individuals and families by providing free & impartial advice, advocacy and representation on matters relating to welfare rights, debt and housing. Main Tasks

• Provide advice, assistance and when necessary representation with welfare benefit entitlement claims and money, debt and general housing issues, via centre based, telephone, outreach and home visit appointments.
• Represent claimants at appeal tribunals.
• Record and maintain accurate client case records using our Advice Pro recording system.
• Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of changes and developments in welfare, housing and debt legislation and liaise with colleagues on any issues that need to be communicated wider.

Following a review of our Community Services, we are looking for a part time Community Worker who shares our values and will use them to guide the way they work on a daily basis. You will be accountable to our Community Development Officer.

Willowacre Trust provides a wide variety of groups, activities, events and projects in partnership with local community members and organisations to address inequalities and support inclusion. You will take an active part in actively engaging with individuals and groups to identify needs, provide support, facilitate access to services, and empower them to address social issues. These will often focus on areas like poverty, health, housing, or mental wellbeing. Through building relationships, the post holder will act as a vital link between the charity's services and the local community.

Although your office base will be Barrowfield, you will provide services across all of our communities within Glasgow, South, North and East Ayrshire and North and South Lanarkshire

You should have:

• Excellent interpersonal and engagement skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels
• Good IT skills including word processing, excel, email and other software packages
• The ability to motivate and encourage community participation within hard-to-reach groups
• Experience of developing and delivering community activities and events
