Role

Rainbow Valley are seeking a passionate and results-driven Fundraiser to join our dedicated team in making a positive impact on the lives of those we serve.

As a small charity focused on running courses to educate and empower people affected by cancer, assisting them in taking control of the things they can, such as attitude, wellbeing, diet, and exercise, we are committed to creating meaningful change in our community. Many more people survive a cancer diagnosis than ever and at Rainbow Valley we believe people can learn to and deserve to Thrive in life after a cancer diagnosis.

Our vision is to make Rainbow Valley a name known to everyone, and we need your expertise to help us achieve our fundraising goals to succeed in our mission, and to offer our courses to as many people as we can.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement fundraising strategies to generate financial support for the organisation's programs and initiatives.
  • Assist with and develope fundraising events, campaigns, and initiatives to engage the community and raise awareness about our cause.
  • Create fundraising materials, including grant proposals, sponsorship packages, and donor communications.
  • Attend networking events to promote our mission and fundraising initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in fundraising within the non-profit sector is preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills essential.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience in grant writing and crafting compelling fundraising materials.
  • Solid organisational skills and the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.
  • Self-motivated and proactive with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Passionate about the mission and values of Rainbow Valley and the community we serve.
