We are looking for a CAP Job Club Manager at Holy Trinity Church, Wester Hailes. Unemployment is one of the major underlying causes of poverty in our community, leading many to become trapped under the burden of unmanageable debt. A vital part of our Christian outreach here in Wester Hailes is to aim to meet this need by providing support to those looking to find paid employment.
Your responsibilities
You will be responsible for taking the lead in running all three elements of the CAP Job Club: Course, Community and Coaching, based in Holy Trinity Church and achieving the aims among our community of a CAP service to the unemployed, which are to help job seekers find work, as well as offering them the opportunity to hear the Gospel.
An important aspect of the role, working alongside the CAP Debt Centre Manager, will be to communicate the mission and culture of CAP both in the community and in Holy Trinity Church, continuing to expand our network of external referral agencies, while at the same time helping to build the team of volunteers. It Is therefore essential for the successful applicant to be able to commit to regular Sunday attendance and provide visibility of our CAP Centre work at Holy Trinity Church.

Salary and benefits
The Salary is £9,500, based on 15 hours per week – this could be two days per week, though a more flexible arrangement is possible.
We operate a pension scheme providing 8% of salary being paid to your pension. (3% employer’s contribution and a min of 5% employee contribution).
Location and supervision
You will be working in the community of Wester Hailes, Edinburgh, in the premises of Holy Trinity Church and under the oversight of Holy Trinity’s Kirk Session. Line Management will be from the Holy Trinity Discipleship Leader, and the Area manager of Christians Against Poverty.
